He really struggles with endings. No doubt iíve whinged about it somewhere earlier in this thread, but itís such a huge problem in all his books. Heís brilliant at creating situations and moods, does great characters, but he just canít put a bow on it.
The book ending is off its tits. Giant space turtles? The macroverse? Deadlights? Gang rape? Ritual of Chud? Eggs?

It'll be the same as the other one. Cracking first half when kids. So-so second and you can't change that ending...
Adults crap. Ending crap. Yet the bulk of the book still manages to be utterly excellent.
