Registered 6 years agoClass that Carrick is nominated. Often derided player despite being immense for Utd continuously.
Yes I said continuously. Because he has. -

Q: What did Alex Ferguson instruct you to do when you came on?
I so hope that Giggs quote is true.
A: He asked me not to retreat. He wanted me wide open on the line, to give quality crosses and passes. When the goal went it I didn’t know how to celebrate. Paul Scholes made a pass into the area and I finished well.
Q: Had ever imagined that you would score from a Paul Scholes pass?
A: Never, never (laughs)! At that time it was all a dream. One day I passed the ball through Ryan Giggs’ legs in training and he came over and told me, “Go on, you can tell your mother you did this to Ryan Giggs.”
Q: Is it true that Alex Ferguson made you cut your hair?
A: He advised me to do that that, yes. I went into his room and saw that he was looking at me, very seriously. ‘Hmmm, that hair.’ Of course, I cut it on the same day. In the next training he did not recognise me (laughs). I passed him several times and did not realise it was me. -

Registered 16 years agoInteresting, I'd say I agree with uglygamer. Although it's difficult to pick between Bale, Mata and Suarez but Bale just has that something that marks him out a bit. -

Registered 15 years agoHow the fuck has Wilshere got a nomination?! Daft. Thought Cazorla might get a nod, he's done more than Hazard, for example. -

Registered 11 years agoYeh, very suprising to see Hazard actually. Done OK, but not standout, and certainly not good enough to justify whatever his huge price tag was. -

Registered 7 years agoYeah, I'd say Cazorla definitely deserves a nod. Hazard nomination is purely based on the big price tag and the hype around him. I've noted my opinion hazard before.
Bale and Lukaku/Benteke for me. -

Away and alternate. There'd be a full on meltdown if Warrior tried to make a home strip that wasn't red.
white replacing red as the home strip? or away strip and alternate?
the white looks like a Television test image and/or something from the 90's -

Registered 11 years agoBit surprised Rafael isn't in the Young Player of the Year list. Had his best season yet at United and is considered one of the best RB's in the league. -

Registered 14 years agoWithout RVP's goals, you'd be where Spurs are. Bale has shone in a team that has played good football in general. Man Utd, by their own standards, have been poor to average most of the season, the only highlight being RVP and the games he won for you on his own then have propelled Utd to pole position.
He's now rediscovered some form again and his recent goals, yet again, have salvaged points for an average Utd team. Therefore he must win it.
IMO, etc. -

Registered 14 years agoOh dear. Someone has trouble reading:
This is the worst MANCHESTER UNITED team for many years. Everyone who's over 12 years old can see it. Without RVP THIS SEASON UTD would be level with City or worse. Therefore, his role has been instrumental to Man Utd's resounding success.
IN MY OPINION. -
Problem is, with RVP we could be about the break some league winning records.
That's if the players could be arsed anymore, which they appear not to be. -
He didn't score for like 14 games, during which time they won most games. He's clearly been integral to their success, but he's not the sole reason, particularly in the last 3 months or so. Others must have been doing something right.
