Registered 12 years agoIf arsenal don't steamroller Newcastle, they don't deserve a place, to be honest. I don't think they could have hand picked a team more ripe for the taking. -

Registered 15 years agoAll true. But I've been saying for weeks that I didn't want to go to Newcastle to get a result, not got a great record there. -
It's obviously going to be a massacre. -

Registered 13 years agoPardew's comments have made it more important to him and his side. It won't be a thrashing. Draw or one goal in it. -
I'm sure if Pardew could influence his team, that might be true. -

Registered 6 years agoI cant see anything but an arsenal win tbh. They always seem to get that result when they need it.
Stranger things have happened tho!
Let the 4th best team finish 4th! -
Here's a depressing thought. Today could be Bale's last game for Spurs. -

Registered 6 years agoI have a feeling he will stay. Not sure why though.
He is still so young so another year or two at spurs may be good for him. Completely biased opinion of course.... -

Registered 16 years agoThey said Rooney should have stayed at us for another year or two. Money talks. -
Nah, I think we're getting another year. He'll sign a massive wage contract to increase the value of his move next time. Standard. -

Registered 6 years agoVery true. I guess it all depends what kind of offers come in. We are just not in a position to turn down offers of 30m plus. -
We turned down £40m for Modric. -

Registered 16 years agoThere's going to be some major cash being spunked this summer in Manchester and London. And then there are Real and Barcelona.

Yes but United will spunk all their money raping Everton. -
Anyway, what will be will be. We sold our two best players last summer and finished this year with more points. If he goes good luck to him. -

Registered 6 years agoAs long as he doesn't 'do a modric' and sulk to get a move I'll wish him well on his way. You cant say he didnt give his best for the club.
I'd much prefer him to move abroad tho -

Registered 6 years ago@kalel and look where that got us. Another season with a sulky player and 10m less when we sold him the next year....

Registered 6 years agoI don't think Bale will go this summer but they need to spend to get more big players. Need a striker and a left back more than anything IMO. -

He still ended up being a brilliant player for pretty much the whole season, and beyond that, it set an important precedent in terms of us not being bullied by other clubs, or seen as a "selling club".

Re 40m for modric
Also nobody really knows what the full details of the Madrid deal were but the feeling is that it'll end up closer to £40m than £30m. It was £30m just up front.
