There's some bitterness tainting his views clearly, but still, lots of truth bombs there.

It certainly means he has a more personal view of the matter. So yes in his experience he may prefer the foreign managers. I'm sure there will be players that prefer the old school manager as well.
All of them probably.

Leon Knight, ha! When he played for the accies, there was a particularly heated game against Hearts. Knight was supposedly involved in a fight in the tunnel and his line of defense was that he is a karate black belt so if he was involved in a fight everyone would know about it because he would kick arse

"Mario Balotelli has agreed to slash his wages by 50% to convince Liverpool that he is eager to join them" I doubt that is true, but if it is, no complaints from me .
I sense a great disturbance in the force....Liverpool will win the league this season.
Just in case anyone gets their panties in a twist I say that every season....obviously I mean it this time though.

Villa top of the league.
Oh shit. Please don't be injured Vlaar.

Who's the manager telling racist jokes do you think?
I don't bet, but.....
What I like about the Knight article is that he isn't hiding behind a pseudonym. I realise TSF is still playing but not naming himself does lessen the impact of his observations somewhat.
Nice work Columbo. (I thought about Googling but it was far too early)
I could be wrong - I'm doing that from memory. Fuck googling.
I watched it at an old mates house so have a recollection but it's a fuzzy one.

Really can't see MON being involved in that sort of thing.
Delph looks really good at times. Villa playing well. Love Weimann.
The problem with that Knight article, again, is that the guy is himself basically a total twat. Classic case of had the talent but not the temperament, and his entire career is littered with incidents and falling outs and more recently some lovely outspoken homophobia.
So, while there's some interesting insight here it should be taken with a serious pinch of salt, as the guy is a bitter cunt who blames everyone but himself for a shit career. And accusations of racism while possibly true, are a little 'pot calling the kettle racist'.
Decent first half. Both sides showing some promise with poor decision making, indecisiveness or good defending meaning there haven't been too many overt chances so far.
If Villa can continue to play like this then I am a bit more hopeful for this season. Villa don't look out of place playing Newcastle and they were, for the first half of the season, one of the better sides in the premiership.
Alan Hutton though, fuck me, he has been the best player on the pitch so far (apart from maybe Newcastle's Cissokho) you really have to wonder what went on with him and the way he was ostracised from the club. He also doesn't seem like he likely to do a horror challenge any time soon.
I am not sure that was quite what happened. From what I understand they were trying to get the wages down so they farmed out the players on loan deals. Hard to say for sure though.
In fairness to N'Zogbia he was playing quite well at Villa under Lambert but then had a horrible injury, he has come back looking dangerous. He hasn't even run down loads of blind alleys in this match.
