Venables wrote hard man detective novels that ITV dramatised that read like a total parody

    Poor Newcastle. What a shitshow.
The fact we even went for him shows that Ashley is just trolling the fans at this point. You would struggle to find a more universally loathed manager up here.

What a way to bookend a decade of ownership with sacking Sam on the way in and then leaving us with him back in place

How come Newcastle never (Rafa excepted) go for foreign managers? Is it something the fans feel strongly about? I donít really have much connection with the club culture but from an outside perspective it seems strange. There are so many young talented foreign managers desperate to get into the PL, and when you look at the success the likes of Silva, Pochettino, Nuno, Gracie etc it seems odd that Ashley keeps on scratching around the same old English and Irish faces.

Not a single person is bothered about the nationality of the manager so you would have to ask the toad.

Glenn Roeder, Ossie Ardiles and Ruud Gullit as well. 4 is quite a lot of foreign managers compared to some clubs but then again they change manager loads as well.

They had Ruud Gullit for a bit didn't they?

But yeah, seems a bit of a pattern. I'd imagine it's easier to get one of the old boys to join an ambitionless club than a young foreign manager on the up.

I thought it was quite well known that when he awoke from his coma he thought he was a German man named Hans.

I assumed Roeder was dutch, no idea why, Wilipedia shows he was of German descent. The others are all valid though.

Everything is totally normal at Arsenal. Our Club Captain has refused to travel on our tour of the US and wants to be released on a free so he can go back to France. Nothing to see here, perfectly normal.

Very disappointed in him tbh. Put in a transfer request and if refused, deal with it.

You get the final say on the hiring and the candidate list is down to two people. Who do you pick?

    Allardyce or Bruce?

I think the no foreign managers thing is quite prevalent the lower down the league(s) you go.

We've had Welsh, Oirish AND Scotch managers

You can't really blame him. Being made Captain at arsenal is generally a prelude to a move.

Curse of the captain strikes again!

It makes sense tbh, he's got 1 year left, we are probably not offering more than a 1 year extension under the new policy, he can get 3 years elsewhere and we probably turned down his transfer request so now he feels like he has to be a c*nt about it.

He's also sick of playing with Mustafi, and hates Ozil's face and is gutted about Gnabry. I know this for a fact.

Don't blame him tbh. And don't find i care that much, he's just A N other player, think Ramsey probably the last player that left that i felt was connected to the club in some way, the rest are all just journeymen.

Bruce. I like his scrumpled old lady face.

In all seriousness though I'm completely done with them until Ashley is gone now.

At least there is a small chance Ashley might fuck off one day. We are stuck with Kroenke till death.

In fact the only thing that might shift him hilariously is if we get relegated and he starts losing money.
