I donít want Jose anywhere near my club. But I also slightly worry about him going to Arsenal. Which says something.
Has he ever joined a club mid-season, though? He's always been the sort of manager to come in and revamp the squad slightly before any decent results are seen. I'm not sure about Spurs, but Arsenal definitely don't have any spare cash to spend.

So yeah, even putting aside the fact that he's obviously a massive pillock and hugely toxic for any club he joins, he still wouldn't be a good option at this particular stage of the season.

Jose may well have the choice between Spurs and Arsenal.

Top four is done. Gonna be a long season with not much to play for.
I wouldnít say itís done, but it would be surprising if it isnít the 4 teams that are there now.

10 points between 20th and 5th is a bit mad. Really donít know what the solution is for us. Not sure what Poch going would achieve. It seems all confidence is gone from the players.

There is always the fa cup I suppose. And who knows, we could win the champions league still.

Obviously joking before any Arsenal fans jump on my back

The standard of the league must be fucking shite if weíre still 6th after our crap start to the season.

Talk of the top 4 being a done deal 12 games in is fucking ridiculous.

I agree. Put a run together like Chelsea and Arsenal, Spurs and Utd are right back in it. The issue is that none of those look like they could do that at present without something changing, and I suspect that's only likely at Arsenal.

I wouldn't want Mourinho either. He may improve us but it would sour eventually. That's the pragmatic view. Then there's the emotional view that he can't stand Arsenal and has gone out if his way to be a cunt at every opportunity, so fuck him.

I'm all for Freddie till the end of the season, then perhaps Arteta.

Would a club as stable as Spurs even want Jose and his wrecking ball anywhere near them?

I imagine the logic would be to win Ďsomethingí which is apparently so incredibly important as opposed to steady meaningful progress.

For me the top four is done (aware itís not literally done) not just because the United, Spurs etc are lagging, but because Chelsea and Leicester are flying. Chelsea at least have the potential of a CL run to distract them later in the season and could Ďdo a Spursí but Iím not seeing either significantly drop in form. Leicester might even start troubling the leaders.

A League Cup win, half a dozen overpriced underperforming signings and a toxic implosion that undoes much of the good work of the last 5 years.

    It can't be worth it

Yeah itís not so much about the points gap but the form of the relative teams. Doesnít look like changing for any teams soon in terms of form, and by the time it eventually does (if it does) it will probably be too late.

Anyway, I certainly wouldnít want Mourinho. Not sure who would be available mid season that is a better option than Poch right now.

The media obsession with a close points spread at this stage in the season drives me crazy; it's just basic arithmetic and bias from a small fixture set.

A 10 point gap between 5th and bottom after 12 games is equivalent to a 40+ point gap at the end of the season.

Don't understand the talk of Jose, as if he's the only option.
There's Luis Enrique, Allegri and Ragnick out there. It doesn't have to be that poisonous cunt.

Anyways, maybe have a London coach draft; swap Emery and Poch. Maybe West Ham can get in there.

We could (and probably should) have scored 6 today. A nice international break to scupper 2 fairly decent performances in a row now.

@Frogofdoom according to FPL, Ryan made 9 saves so looks like you should have. Seems to be going a lot better now for you.

He pulled off a couple of really good saves and Rashford missed an empty net. It has been much better the last two games but before that the Bournemouth game was as bad as usual.

Still up to 7th, that's dizzy heights for us this year ready for it all to go to shit in December when we have some tough games.

Nice win but I still don't have any confidence we won't get turned over 1-0 having had 0 shots the next 2 or 3 games in a row just yet.
