Yeah Drinkwater looks absolutely wank. Looks unfit and like he just can't be arsed making a tackle.

City been so good to watch though.

The pinpoint passes De Bruyne and David Silva have been playing today have been incredible. I know Villa are putting up less than token resistance, but City are sublime.

If they really want to they could take the record here.

Loads of fantasy football managers get the hump at losing a clean sheet

There is nothing more frustrating than a team winning like 8-1 in FF.

This is why the club is so special. In the history of football, only City can turn it on like that.

Gedson Fernandes looks like he is off to Spurs on loan for 18 months. Meant to be quite a good midfield talent so will be interesting to see how he does.

We are being much more direct but itís hardly lumping it up to Fellaini style. It says more about Poch than it does about Jose.

I can understand the glee in now getting to be on the other end of the Mourinho trolling but youíve gone too big too early.
I don't believe there is such a thing as too early. He's going to be an absolute disaster.

He was hardly a disaster for us, best period since Fergie left. If Ed had backed him for that third season I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have unravelled like that. Especially when Ed goes out and buys the defender he wanted next season anyway for more money.

What about the rumours he wanted to sell Martial?

Nah, he would have been terrible anyway.
Since he left Porto he's only ever done well at a team thats either already in pretty decent condition when he arrived and/or got loads of money to spend.
The hard work was already done at Chelsea by Ranieri when he went there and as for real madrid and inter, well..they speak for themselves.

There have definitely been signs we will look to 'play' as well as using the more direct route. As long as there is a balance between the two I'll be happy. The constant playing out from the back from goal kicks was starting to annoy me under Poch. If it's on, go for it. If not, don't put yourself under unnecessary pressure.

I totally understand the view from the outside, but it's far too early to judge what sort of game will be playing under Mourinho.

Talk of Fernandes is promising (although again, no idea how good he actually is) and if we can secure another striker and a RB hopefully we'll have a happy Mourinho for the next 6 months.

    @Jono62
I know. my point is that Real and Inter were already good sides when he took over and he benefitted greatly from work done by previous managers and inheriting great squads

@monkey Not overly fussed to be honest, he is too inconsistent and has been over a long period. On his day he is great but there are plenty of games he goes missing in. Liverpool, Leicester, Spurs, City and Arsenal all have a better striker.

Thereís definitely some revisionism going on with Mourinho. Again, Iím as guilty as anyone is joining in with the bashing when it suited my agenda, but some respect should be put on his name for his first stint at Chelsea and his time at Inter. Even what he did at United is now looking impressive in retrospect.
