I like mourinho when he manages abroad. I see too much of him when he manages over here though and he just pisses me off.

Obviously his first stint at Chelsea can’t be ignored but ranieri had already signed cech and robben who joined just as mourinho got there. Plus, he had a much bigger transfer budget than anyone in the premier league at that time.
I actually really liked spurs under poch and I am still shocked at his replacement.

Yeah I'm still in the he's a bad egg camp, despite the adventurous 20/30 minutes Spurs didn't play 5 5 0 against us (at home).

For the record I think the journalist of that article has some valid points but is a little bit ott with some of it!

He was hardly a disaster for us, best period since Fergie left. If Ed had backed him for that third season I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have unravelled like that. Especially when Ed goes out and buys the defender he wanted next season anyway for more money.
What about the rumours he wanted to sell Martial?
I'd be fine with us selling Martial to be honest. I really do like him, but he is always injured, and not an out and out striker. He is pretty awful with back to goal. Either way, we need a striker, even though it's not the top priority.

Jose's an easy target, he's really no worse than Pep for the sniping and passive aggressiveness but gets four times the shit for it.

I think in 10 years we'll still be looking at him as the most successful United manager post-Fergie, comfortably.

I mean, I've never seen Pep poke some guy in the eye.

I could do a Dakeryas-esque dissection about how he went to pat him on his head but the angle of his arm got changed due to a sudden drop in air pressure and he hit him in the eye by accident, but I can't be arsed so you'll just have to imagine up the other 8000 words yourself.

Fernandes medical completed, so looks like that is happening. A striker and a RB next please.

Good. Losing Heaton definitely hasn't helped, so hope he's up to speed!

Everton have agreed a £30m naming rights option for the Bramley Moore stadium with Usmanov, giving USM first option to sign a permanent annual naming rights contract.

That's £30m just for the option BTW.

This is why FFP is toothless.

True. I think we did say he was about as good as 2011 winner Scott Parker.

£100m in losses reported for last year so must be trying to counteract that.

Yeah, it's just flicking the Vs at the Premier League’s spending rules (which are distinct from FFP) by throwing in an arbitrarily valued commercial deal at the last minute (was only signed a week ago) to keep the rolling 3 year figure below the allowed levels.

Biggest concern is the wages at 86% of revenue, which will be one of the highest in the league. Too much deadwood on long expensive contracts thanks to Steve Walsh. Brands said he's cutting the first team squad to 23.

Spurs have announced Gedson Fernandes. 18 month loan with £42 million option to buy.

A lot of talk about Ze Luis across Portuguese press this morning too.

18 month loan: club not convinced, or a way to save up in the interim?
