Exactly! Football is about excitement, discussion (endless discussion) and history, a reset is so much more interesting.

And being a Norwich fan has nothing to do with my feelings on the matter as they'll only get relagated again anyway. Honest..

Surely if the season is voided then then the clubs won’t see a big chunk of their tv money and I imagine the tv companies will be trying to get back as much of what they’ve already paid as possible?

That could have massive implications on the balance sheets of a lot of clubs.

The TV deal is with the PL not directly with the clubs. Again one for the lawyers to work out but the clubs won’t necessarily take the hit. What the clubs do have to navigate is their relationship with sponsors and voided deals that are then renegotiated will be infinitely simpler and less costly for them.

While desperately filling time, I heard someone on talksport saying that sky probably won’t go in hard on the refund thing as they don’t want to accelerate the PLs transition to their own streaming platform.

    Enjoy getting locked up Grealish.

Drink driving, crashing into other vehicles then doing a runner.

    Smooth

I don't see how you can guarantee the safety of the players. You can test them all, but if anyone isn't immune, it would only take 1 player to infect loads.

Having said that, I would like it. It might perk people up a bit and make things feel a bit more normal.

And finishing the season is the best outcome

The players wouldn’t do it, they are overpaid prima donnas

At United about 10 years ago or so one of them phoned the club to send someone round to empty his hoover as it had stopped picking up, which the club did immediately. They are completely disconnected from real life

There is no way they will play for entertainment if there is even 0.0000000001% risk of them getting the virus. They’ll just watch Netflix, play FIFA and count their money

More to the point, away from your sweeping statement about prima donnas, insurance probably would have a problem with it.

But let's just spitball some ideas here guys. What about having matches which last only a few minutes. We could get the season finished in a week. Fans sit at least 2m apart (we did this for the past few seasons in preparation) and there's a plexiglass screen around the pitch, which you can bounce the balls off (no throw ins). Ten games per venue per day. No goalkeepers, so it is exciting

The only downside I can think of is that it proves so awesome that it becomes the standard way which football is played.

Oh, also the referee has a stun gun, which he can use on anyone being a tit

There is a chance the italian season may get abandoned today, that might cause other leagues to jump in too.
