I can't really remember any of the cars he used to drive. Most footballers have terrible taste in everything though it seems.

Christ, Utd posted a £28m loss for the Jan-March period. Virtually every other clubs is so fucked.

Sounds like Newcastle will be more than alright sooner rather than later, mind.

But isnít their model based on overpaying players, not caring about success and selling branded tat in Asia to a greater extent than most other clubs?

To think even with that strategy they made a loss. What hope other clubs.

    Yes I bit.

Nice of them to still pay a dividend to the Glazers while deferring their tax payments.

Who knows what the summer transfer market will look like. Are players now worth half of what they were or will most clubs just not change squads before next year.

Newcastle are streaming Shearerís last match at 3 today.

It doesnít feel like Iím almost as old as he was when he retired, Shearer was always old.

Suspect player swaps will be more common but generally wouldnít expect much movement.

La Liga aiming to restart on the 12th of June. Would be great to see things get under control enough in the UK to consider bringing back but seems like it is a while away.

According to an interview with Dani Ceballos, apparently the PL are aiming to start on the 19th June.

Dortmund v Bayern on at the moment on BT if anyone missed the early kick off. For those who didn't, what do we make of the pumped in sound noise? Constant whistles for the away possession is a bit much but I think I prefer this to no noise.

I'm watching season reviews on youtube and thinking how sad some of these moments would be in empty stadiums. Just seen RVP's volley against Charlton where he runs up to the crowd with the arms out and it really adds so so much to it.

I wonder will anywhere trial 'live' fan attendance via Zoom etc, either just audio or some weird video displays for a truly dystopian experience.

I honestly canít think of anything more Spursy than sacrificing our last seven seasons to build one of the best stadiums in the world, right in time for a season or two of closed door football.

At least Spurs didn't sell their old stadium and rent a fucking massive one which was empty on match days even before the Rona

We could.be looking at Italy post 2000s, with few overseas players, dwindling attendances and less money in the game. I'm all for it if clubs can actually survive.

I am quite surprised someone isn't rolling out a virtual football experience of some sort, fake crowds, fake noise, that sort of thing.

It feels pretty inevitable that VR will become big in this area.

Yeah, that would be my assumption. Apple bought NextVR within the past month so will be interesting to see if they develop anything. Could see the NFL or NBA embracing this a lot quicker than European football leagues though.

If they developed the social side correctly, so it actually felt a tiny bit like going to a game with your mates, I could see it taking off. Though the length of a sports event is typically a lot longer than it would be comfortable to wear a headset for.

I'm sure I'm not the only person that thinks clubs offering official pay-per-view streaming for their matches is long overdue, perhaps now they'll be pushed into it?
