Yeah, has to be. Doubt they can get out of the existing contracts, so might be a while off. It's weird, the PL produce the product anyway. TV only top and tail it, so surely can't be hard to do.

They still can't offer ours for renewal, as it also includes cup tickets, which would include any European fixtures. If no Europe, they'd be quite a bit cheaper.

We could.be looking at Italy post 2000s, with few overseas players, dwindling attendances and less money in the game. I'm all for it if clubs can actually survive.
Iím definitely umming and ahhing about a few things football related. Apart from going to games, I havenít really missed it. Have enjoyed having other things to do with my spare time instead of just getting in from work and mindlessly switching on whatever match is on every day of the week.

Aye, same here. Although tbh, it's more that I have not missed the constant 24 hour news cycle than the games themselves. I think I'll still watch the same amount of games but I'd like to not get drawn into the social media and news bollocks as much.

I'm much the same however I'm quite aware I will likely to be dragged back in as soon as it's back. I'm a complete sucker for transfer news in the summer and am often on redcafe more then than I am during the season.

Note I said I'd 'like not to'. I can also see myself getting dragged back in as I am weak!

Did the Bundesliga restart with the same set of fixtures as before their lockdown? I'm slightly panicked at the prospect of diving cold straight into a Meseyside derby...

Restart agreed for 17 or 20 June (depending on who you believe on Twitter).

    Sir Chips has retired :(

That's definitely worthy of a dedicated Squires cartoon.

4 home games I would have been at which I'll be watching on my sofa and probably paying for the privilege. In an empty area with no atmosphere like the LASK game

    Fantastic.

Really interested to see what the broadcast situation will be. As above this could be a real paradigm shift moment. Apparently DAZN have been in talks.

Really feels like it should be. As I said the other day, given the PL produce a lot/all of the content, it should be easy for the clubs to top and tail or the PL to do the same. If I was able to sub to a club online ST and then another for the big games for £25-30 a month, I'd be all over it.

I think Amazon and BBC are trying to get some of the extra TV games there will be as well. Really will be fascinating to see how it works.

Don't fancy being the schedulers, deciding which relegation-threatened teams will play under the afternoon sun in June/July, as opposed to a pleasant evening. If I were the owner of a club I'd be looking at parity of playing conditions pretty closely.

Yeah, it seems only four games will be free to air. But all 92 games will be televised.

Sky have announced 25 of the 64 games they will screen will be free to air.

I guess that means Sky One? Pretty good move all the same.

I wouldn't be surprised if BT Sports make some of their games free to air too now.

So basically it will be like a summer football tournament, but with clubs (and without the festival atmosphere, natch). All concerns over health issues aside, it should be pretty cool. Especially if they finish it off with the remaining FA Cup fixtures condensed into a week.

I still think there's a not insignificant chance they'll have to press the pause button again mind.

I think so too. The amount of caution Chris Whitty and Patrick Vallence gave in the press conference makes me think they're not happy about the relaxing of the rules.

Looks like the 25 free games are on something called sky pick?

What are my options to get this channel? I'm on a smart TV with no aerial connection
