What all Liverpool fans or just the twats that have to tarnish it for everyone else? Those sort of generalisations get rightly swatted down in other threads.

Certainly questions can and must be asked of the policing (cordonIng off that area might have been an idea) and the club should have put out stronger messaging re: stay home and celebrate etc. (probably wouldnít have dissuaded those firework firing twats). Not sure what any club can do to stop a gathering in public.... the return with the CL trophy saw mass gatherings and didnít see this sort of stupidity.

Mass gatherings at all at the moment, be it city centres or beaches, are a dumb idea, beered up fuckwits are grossly offensive.

I think 20 points should cover it.

From what I can see the club, and more pertinently Spirit of Shankly, have made no effort to issue a statement about staying home which is anything like as strong as the statements of "disappointment" and lack of "evidence to support such claims" they originally put out when it was suggested Liverpool fans might come together to celebrate in breach of social distancing rules.

And questions of the policing? Exactly how much of a city centre do you plan to cordon off?
    https://twitter.com/scouse_Everton/status/1276819681098244098

But otherwise I agree that it's a bit much to generalise this against all Liverpool fans, but they do so little to condemn it that they basically claim ownership. Even this morning's statement from the club is weak:

    Yep
I don't think leaving some litter after an organised celebration is the same as literally firing explosive projectiles at a building and setting it on fire during a pandemic. But maybe I'm just being a bit harsh.

    @Trowel

Indeed, as I said earlier, I agree that the club statement was a poor show. Would expect at least 'working with police to identify and lifetime ban those involved in the extremely stupid actions seen in the videos' and a call to cease mass gatherings until appropriate.

With regards the Pier Head incident and cordoning, I would have expected Police were aware of the Evertonian lightshows on the Liver building and therefore the potential for trouble if that area was filled with Liverpool fans (used that term notwithstanding my opinion that those few twats could do with seeing a courtroom). Could have had enough of a show of force there to prevent the idiocy.

Imagine winning the Premier fucking League and still finding a way to feel hard done by and cause trouble because some lights on a building are fucking blue.

Never has the 'Ashamed by nothing. Offended by everything' tag felt so apt.

Re. the blue lights, it seems that the building was lit red white and blue for Armed Forces day. Had the same lights for VE Day.

    What went wrong for poch?

Might be answering my own question but to keep it seemed he lost the support from some in the dressing room for sure, and others let him down with their work ethic. But I dont get why he lost the dressing room?

Itís the same thing thatís happened with every manager in history with the possible exception of Fergie, so Iím not sure why itís confusing for people.

It's confusing cause you got the CL final for the first time ever last year. I have no idea what happened. I was expecting you guys to challenge for the league this year not failing to battle for 5th place with us.

Was it the failure to invest in the team that got to him and he started to lose faith with the squad and that in turn meant they lost faith with him?

The CL was blatantly the end of the cycle though. He'd talked about possibly leaving if they won it, which probably would have been the right time.

It's actually more surprising he made it to that point, given managers are usually long gone before the point comes where they have to refresh the squad for a second lap.

How did Burnley end up level on points with Spurs?
Dyche has to be one of the most successful managers in terms of what he actually has to work with. Ridiculous.
