Good old Irish boy of course.

Delighted with the finishing position in the end, thankfully everyone around us wanted it slightly less than us. It really was a limping over the line after being brilliant after the restart.

As red said, so many positives now going into next season the question is can we capitalise on them?

I saw some mention of united fans coming out of the woodwork but there's only about 4 or 5 of us who've been here literally years isn't there?

There were definitely a few more about when we were winning shit.

3rd is good and it's good to finally see them not bottle a result, but Leicester have been fucked since about Christmas truth be told and just like last season, it seems like 3rd and 4th fell over the line as much as anything.

Seems like almost every goal we concede is down to some sort of really bad, almost comedic individual defensive or goalkeeping error, so that needs looking at as a priority if we're to progress.

Surely Henderson will get a shot next season. I was impressed with him today.

De Gea's on some mad wages though.

I'd definitely give him next season to turn it around and see if he can adapt. Difficult for reactions keepers and longevity beyond their 30's though. Most of the time they just get dodgier and dodgier.

Happy with getting back in the champions league but we clearly need serious improvements if we're ever going to be anything but top 4 trophy contenders. We finished on exactly the same points as we had last season.

I'm already fed up with this Sancho bullshit and it hasn't even started.

Rolll on September and lockdown mark 2.

I think we'll bring him back but unlikely to hand him no 1 straight away.

You'd hope De Gea is just on an extended blip. VDS let's not forget had similar but it took him ending up at Fulham before rediscovering his exceptional form. He's been so good for us you wouldn't like it to end with a whimper but he's got quality on his tail so needs to pull his socks up.

Oh yea, ecu is gone a while now. But I suppose so many of us have. I used to spend a silly amount of time in here when I was at the start of my career and being able to use computers meant I could do my workload in half a work day.

    Terrible times :)

I don't think ecu even lasted the Moyes season! Not that other weren't far behind.

Doesn't even feel like it's been 7 years since it all went tits up to me.

I was genuinely shook earlier today when I thought about Leicesters title winning season being 2015.

Very good signing I think. Decent price. I wouldn't have minded him as an option either.

Nor did I understand why Watford didn't buy him when Chelsea agreed to sell - he was my player of the season that year for us.

Looks like we are closing in on Hojbjerg. Always looked decent enough when I've seen him play against us, but not really seen enough to judge really. The £25m Saints are asking for doesn't seem unreasonable, but not sure what his contractual situation is. Also talk of KWP going the way. I always thought KWP was decent, but doesn't seem to be rated by the club. We really need a RB though....

I've only seen Hojbjerg in internationals and he's passable. Surprised no one is going for Kasper Dolberg. Smashed in goals at Ajax and now Nice. He'd probably end up at Newcastle and doing shit...

    From Wiki:

"On 16 September 2019, Dolberg reported to the police that his luxury watch at an estimated value of 70.000Ä was stolen. Following a police investigation, in which the police recovered a surveillance video showing the culprit stealing the watch, his teammate Lamine Diaby-Fadiga confessed to the crime ten days later.[20] Diaby was later sacked by the club.[21]"

What a shame. Would have been so exciting for the club and great for the Tyne area in general. Hopefully theyíre just posturing and the deal isnít dead yet.

I hope the deal is dead because Iíd rather my club be owned by a dodgy sportswear seller than an autocracy who enacts capital punishment and whose wars have led to arguably the worst humanitarian crisis in the world today

They've got away with one I think. It wouldn't have been a City. They will want regular Premier League friendlies in their country to boost tourism, but any ideas they'll be able to spend their way into regular Champions League football was wide of the mark even before Corona.

Not sure going back to Mike Ashley running the club into the ground is getting away with anything.
