It says quite a lot about the state of football when Mike Ashley is the moral option

Jiminez is off to Man United with Wolves signing Paulinho from Braga as a replacement is the latest rumour.

My god I would love that. Not just because he's a great striker, but I'm living here in Mexico and the hype it would generate would be amazing.

The Saudi thing really smelt wrong. It may not feel like dodging a bullet but I really suspect it is.

If the truth is that the Saudi deal collapsed because of tv piracy and not massive human rights abuses then maybe I need a long break from the Premier League.

I reckon it was the TV piracy.

The ridiculous thing is, the deal didn't collapse due to the Premier League taking the Saudi TV piracy itself seriously, more the fact that beIN complained about it through the WTO and the Premier League shat themselves over losing that sweet Middle East deal.

The PL board have come out of this looking really shitty - it's only yesterday beIN were moaning again: https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bein-sports-make-reference-newcastle-18684822

Outlets are reporting the Saudis pulled out because the fit and proper test was taking too long for them, in particular investigations of the links with Saudi royalty. Unless Iím missing something itís not the piracy thing.

Of all things that the Saudiís could be accused of piracy is the least of them

And Staveley is blaming the other Premier League clubs, throwing in Covid-19 and Brexit into her statement in a blatant attempt to string Newcastle fans along further with her fantasy.

A lot doesn't add up here, and yet it was so predictable.

Really glad the Saudi takeover hasn't happened, although I can't help but feel Newcastle will do a Sunderland within the next decade.

So our kit is released. Home is pretty awful. Like the away even if green isnít really a club colour.

Nike just seem to make shit kits in general.

I woke up in a cold sweat this morning from a nightmare where spurs had won the double and my wife and kids were laughing at me.

Patterns on plain shirts seem to be a big thing next season. Very early 90s

I often love the kits they make for others, just not ours. Generally they make the best kits imo, again just not for us. This years Roma and Inter kits are both Nike and are stunning.

This years away is nice although for me 2nd Kit should always be our established 2nd kit colours (dark blue, yellow, sometimes purple or a lighter blue) and 3rd is where they get to experiment, so the green annoys me. 3rd looks interesting this year though with grey and black stripes.

To be fair Iím judging on the ones theyíve made for us, which have generally been a bit shit. Agree on away kit colours. This years away kit looks like it should be a third kit really. I do like it though.

    The home one though...

100% I get that the fans want rid of Ashley and I'm sure they see the possibility of massive cash boost but fucking hell it's a murderous regime.

If you ignore Yemen, Khashoggi, public beheadings and all the other horrors you are left with the very real possibilty that your club is being used to sportswash away all sorts of shit.

The whole episode shits on the idea that the FA really cares about racism and homophobia in football.

It's great for fashion. I've a splendid pair of jean's with NO FEAR sewn on the buttocks.

Now people know I'm someone not to mess with.

It's simple but I love the new Nike Liverpool home kit - https://www.footyheadlines.com/2019/09/nike-liverpool-20-21-home-kit.html?m=1

The away, not half as much - https://www.footyheadlines.com/2019/09/nike-liverpool-20-21-away-kit.html?m=1

Why the hell did they think 'hyper turquoise' was a good idea? It's bad enough with that highlight on the collar, but damn, that away kit is rancid.

I'm predicting mid-table mediocrity with those tops.

Didn't Fergie demand a change after blaming those grey kits on rendering the players 'invisible' against the crowd? Hoping Klopp does similar but uses embarrassment at having to wear them as the reason.

I think our home is passable but the away.. awful. The suggestion is highbury marble but it looks horrendous.

Yes, thought the same. Our away one is well weird. Aside from being white (I prefer our classic away colours of yellow and blue), the red splashes just make it look as if someone has been murdered.

There were also rumours that we are going to wear our new home kit in the Final on Sat. Cursed before the season kicks off
