That's terrible if true. He's such a rock for that squad. I don't fancy their chances of retaining if he's out for practically the whole season.

Can they retroactively punish that? Deserved a red as minimum. The guy's an absolute clown.

I don't think it was intentional, he was going for the ball but it was a ridiculous lunge and still a red.

I feel an Arsenal goal coming.

Maguire starts for Utd. Newcastle to profit. Still no Van Der Beek in the starting line up. Baffling.

Jesus, it's it from pickfords tackle?

Forgot the air quotes on tackle there.
    FWB will be happy.
    Know me well.

But I'd be well up for a retrospective red. Means Pickford out of the team. Double win.

He'll have been the 4th choice transfer pick for that position and this is Ole's way of making it known.

The season has definitely started well. Seems to be pretty open thus far. Can't remember when it became obvious that Liverpool were going to win at a canter, but it wasn't that far into the season? Much different feeling this time around.

Could easily have gone that way again but fortunately Liverpool are in the post Covid break form rather than pre.

I don't really like this team selection. Then again, the other games when we had our 'best' team out we were getting pumped.

So probably wise to mix it up. All eyes on Maguire. Another disaster show and he wants fucking selling.

Imagine starting Luke Shaw after that spurs game and you've got Brazil's left back on the bench :)

The more you see that the worse it gets. What the fuck is he playing at.

Just watched it from a different angle and you can see a twist on the leg with foot planted when Pickford clatters him.

I can still hear the sound of the ACL snapping in the sports hall where I did mine. Just hope it isn’t fully ruptured. Even today it can spell an early end to a career.

There's differing views on whether VAR even checked it. I don't think they could have done.

Needs to do whatever Ibra did when he recovered from his. 3 years ago at the age of 35 and yet he’s still going strong scoring a brace to win the Milan derby today.

With our lineup it's like we've gone back to the start of last season, with Mata, James, Fred and McTominay back. Just need a Jlingz in for Bruno.

Played okish first half. Can't see James ever being good enough.
