Apart from how ridiculous it is to be having any international football at all at the moment we seem to be very poor at limiting the spread of the virus.

We've had something like 6 positive tests (maybe more) in the last 2 international windows. Most of them have been our best players.

So either this is a tax thing or nothing makes any sense any more.
I read somewhere the plan is to raise revenue through a series for Netflix or whatever, and buying the club ensures they don't have to pay a cut to anyone else.

‘Soccer’ is the ultimate hipster sport in the US. Buying an obscure English club probably seems a pretty fun idea for these guys.

Ultimate frisbee is way more hipster. Or hackey sack. Also the Ryans are our national treasures

Seems like a cynical marketing trick, but they're both great so I can't hold it against them. Most probably the hottest owners in world football now too, I reckon.

Oh dear. Leeds away seems like an even tougher challenge for us now. I would have thought Arteta would have gone away and thought to mix up the formation.. so back 5 again and probably another loss.

I normally post in the film bit of the forum, but thought I should post this here. I do a comedy/movie podcast and we just had Pete Donaldson from The FOotball Ramble on. He chose 80s sci-fi horror Critters. It was bad choice.

From what I remember, Tremors is good. I didn't remember Critters and so I hadn't remembered how unusual it was; it's got the pacing of an actual horror film, but the monster is from a comedy movie. It doesn't work.

Yes, Tremors is a stone-cold classic. Whenever Critters is mentioned, It just takes me a moment to realise that it's Tremors that I like and am inevitably thinking of

Guardiola at Man City for another couple of years then - honestly thought he'd be off after a couple of years, purely to challenge himself in as many of the top leagues as he could.

Can't imagine what he's getting paid now, assuming the extension comes with a big pay rise.

Sorry Gooners. Partey is out. Willian has to self isolate. Elneny is out. We're fucked.

Find it weird that Kroneke is now saying he wants to fully invest in the squad.. why didn’t he just do that in the summer? The Athletic article is pretty good

“ In the summer transfer window, Arsenal attempted to use instalment-based payment structures to land two of their top three targets from Partey, Houssem Aouar and Jorginho.
The Arsenal ownership are prepared to make further investments in the team, with Dominik Szoboszlai already under discussion with hierarchy and technical staff.”

Shame Newcastle lost all their shooting boots or they’d be miles ahead.

Dominating this game, just can't score. Awful defending for their goal. Pressed far too high.

Pushing up a bit much & final ball decisions just not quite right.

Second half started so well too. They definitely should not be losing this.
