With Winks itís more about what he wants I suspect. He would be super useful as a squad player, but you can see him wanting a bigger role somewhere else. Heís another that would do well at somewhere like Southampton.

I agree about Dele. He is a unique talent and Iím surprised and disappointed that it hasnít worked out with Jose. You can see from the documentary Jose originally had him picked as our Lampard, which is what he has the potential to be. Heís got the edge Jose loves as well. Itís annoying as well that with his dip we wonít realise his full worth either.

He was already saying something about his future England prospects if he is not playing at spurs. Wouldnít be surprised if he left in January.

Hopefully there are enough games to keep everyone happy though. We obviously have Europa League, but also league cup and fa cup in new year.

Hard to see where he would end up though. Unless United see the light and get Poch in.

I can't get past how much of a shithouse he is. I badly want Spurs to do well and they are much more likeable without Dele

Itís the main reason why itís surprising Jose doesnít love him.

Too similar to Jose, therefore he sees him as a threat.

That Mourinhoís a prick. I canít stand the way heís got us organised, scoring tonnes of goals, beating top clubs and getting us to the top of the table, all while acting professional and magnanimous and seemingly learning lots from his past experiences.

    What a cunt.
That's going to come back and bite you in the arse.

To his authority? I don't know it felt right when I wrote it. 😊

Not really. We all know how itís going to end with him. Whatís equally predictable are the attempts to limit our enjoyment in the meantime m

It's all part of the mourinho experience.

I would give my left nut to have Jose at my 'real' club, just for the three seasons.

The best thing to do, if you're 'on the fence' about him, is judge him by what the club's he's left have done since.

    United - fuck all
Chelsea - fuck all and hired a nostalgic clown
Real Madrid - pushed on, he rebuilt their squad but I would say out of all of his stints this was the one which can be rightly pointed at as a bit of a success failure
Inter - absolutely fuck all, he performed miracles here IMO
Chelsea (first time) - they did well for a few years after he left. But so much of that was due to his foundations
Porto - always do well domestically. But he won the CL and Europa Cup with them, back to back. They won't do either of those again for decades

I've said before, there's loads to be critical of him - temper (we'll see in terms of that at Spurs but he seems more chill), reluctance towards youth and some transfer blind spots, the three year thing.

But ask yourself - do you have to go looking for these specific things for other managers? No, because Jose's record in terms of results against expectation is peerless

Something happened at Chelsea #2, for sure. The doctor thing. Way more to it. But I massively rate him, particularly as someone who wasn't ever really in the game. He's definitely an outlier.

Just seen scotty parker doing a bit of a tell pre Fulham game. He was all good, then said he's confident and they're improving - scratched his head and nose. They're going down.

Thereís a theory that he leaves teams so fucked by the end of his reign that they have a period of rebuilding when heís done. Thereís some truth to it, but then thatís probably true of all successful managers.

Thereís a narrative that goes along with him that everyone loves to buy into, myself included, but itís all a bit of a hangover from his first spell at Chelsea when he did really represent something new for the PL.

These days heís one of several elite managers in the league and neither Ďtheí special one, nor a has been irrelevance.

Evertonís first team is great when theyíre all firing. Lack of depth and players like James who go hot and cold will be a problem as the season goes on.
