Bet you didn't scream like you've been shot if someone tapped you as you ran.

Amazing even more so by the fact she clearly could have just ran straight and cleared the ball.
Exactly, she slows down so much to do it. Amazing stuff :D

As an overweight child my solution was to play up front. Due to strength(being fat) and a decent touch + no offside, I had a great old time.

Actually there's a point in that. They don't seem to scream like "girls" in the women's game when they're slightly fouled.

Maybe the men could learn a thing or two...

I wish I was allowed to play up front as a kid. It seemed like if you could tackle and had some speed then you're in a full back position. But don't go beyond the half way line otherwise you get screamed at. Ahh sunday football.

As a keeper "FUCKING KICK IT OUT" and "GET RID" are ingrained into my consciousness to this day. No m8, I've got time and space to let my teammates get into better positions and I will chose to throw it now and again if I see an opportunity for someone to make a quick break.

Is it any wonder our goalies are wank and 'shout like a knobhead at every opportunity' is seen as skill priority one.

Coach of my youth team would near have given us a beating if we dared to take a throw in back the way.

Still 0-0 boys, still 0-0. Man, I used to hate that. We've just scored FFS!

Hehe, when we scored, the captain would shout 'WHATS THE SCORE?' and everyone else would shout 'nil nil'. Was proper confused first time I played.

I played left back and the manager would be like 'don't dilly dally, get rid'.

I used to play for one of the worst football teams in UK back in the 90s called Lisvane Panthers. We would regularly lose each game by at least 25 goals and we were always in the local papers etc.

However, when he we scored it was like nothing you could ever replicate lol. It would normally take ref about 10 minutes to get us sorted.

Haha I spent a season in the B team losing 25-0 every week. I managed to score a goal and got man of the match.. which was a mars bar. I was friends with the managers son, so he took us home and had to share the bloody mars bar. Bastards.

I think this is more of a UK thing. First I heard someone really going hard at it was an English guy who I ended up paying a 5a side tournament with.

Jesus we once lost a game 9-2 and it still haunts me today. Genuinely traumatic.

When I used to play Sunday league we had the local deaf club in our division. Used to hate playing them as they were really dirty and the ref let them get away with it as they could never be bothered trying to communicate with them.

I loved every minute of it even when we got thumped by over 50 goals in one game. We all knew we were shit and we never gave anyone crap for it espeically the poor goalie.

Just a load of teenagers pissing around and having a laugh. The coach was a tad too nice and bit out of his depth but you could tell he was acting out his footie manager fantasy with his John Motson jacket and all. Good times.

John Motson was famously a commentator, not a manager.

Tbf, if I was part of a team that let in 50 goals in one match, I'd probably want to forget a lot more than just the tiny details.

Also good; scoring the winning goal :D

Edit: I should clarify, that didn't happen all that often either. We took plenty of beatings.

I played in some good teams and some shit teams. And bar the Sunday morning vomiting on the sidelines, much preferred the shit teams. Much more fun. We weren't 25-0 shit and would win a decent amount, but also take the odd hiding. Definitely a good crack, which is what it's all about

Yea, I've been in a mix too, I've been in a team that was great fun and we won a league but it was a pretty poor level and better teams where the competition was way better and it was also fun.

I stepped away for a couple of years around 12 or 13 because they changed the age rules and the team where me and a number of mates were all playing was ripped apart and I didn't want to play for the other crowd I ended up with in the club as I didn't much like them even though they were a winning team.
