Sky are suggesting there might have been something more serious going on to call the game off, but the protest is understandable. Don't let an idiot spoil it.

Judging by this, they know what one of the few idiots got up to today...

Like the Glazers give a fuck anyway. If you've got a massively successful business on the other side of the world and a hundred people get in and kick the shit out of a few of your employees, are you really going to sell it? Imagine Old Trafford will get a nice new perimeter wall and some beefier security guards to even things up for next time.

Bale, Son, Dele, Kane and Lo Celso in the same line up. Really hope Dele takes his chance, he could make a big difference for us if he gets back to his best.

That seems to fit with the police statement just heard on 5live. "Significant slash wound". That and a flare aimed towards, maybe at, the TV set is very much out of order and will undermine any other peaceful protests from fans of other teams, and other MU fans too

Scum. Same level of mentality as those cunts throwing stuff at team buses.

I'm sure Dele will be at least 20% a better player now that the soul sucker is gone.

In the short term, I would say force clubs to make a visible decision about how to handle fan protests as well as get people to boycott the games shown on TV.

Long-term, get fans to boycott live games.
What needs to happen is United fans in the US hounding the glazers there.

    That won't happen though.

The Glazers don't care what happens at Old Trafford but I don't know what we have left to do but protest. It's been simmering for ages. This isn't new and it's not what Souness said, we weren't quite when Fergie was in charge. The arsehole knows that the green and gold campaign has been going on since the Glazers took over. We've protested when were winning leagues and champion leagues.

    Souness is a cunt.

Yet barely a peep recently from green and gold until the Super League proposals.

@Trowel have they not been busy inventing nonleague football over at FC Unitedís multi-million pound ground?

I still think Super League will be going ahead eventually, the owners aren't going to give up their golden geese and scenes like today are going to make them desperate to relocate.

We'll end up seeing Manchester United of New Hampshire versus the New York Scousers.

Yes the ESL provided it with a new lease of life, therefore it's not a valid protest?

I know that is tongue in cheek but this is exactly the kind of ridicule that we've always faced until magically a few weeks ago the rest of Premier league fans woke up when it effected them.

If you're going to poke fun us at least do it properly

If anything the esl events of two weeks ago will have galvanised the anti glazier movement.

Just absolute fuckwits undermining the whole movement...

If you want change, protest the government, don't storm your teams stadium before a game and slash a fellow fan who is a steward's face and throw flare at tv presenters...

Completely undermines the credentials of fans to be 51% owners of clubs...

It has been quite funny seeing fans of the biggest club in the country acting like they invented protest and being dissatisfied with the owner over the years. But then I support Newcastle and we literally staged a mock funeral outside the ground a couple of seasons ago.

Heís world class, no doubt about that, but he does suck at free kicks.

I was just glad to see us push on today rather than retreat into our shell at 1-0. I was a bit worried it was going that way at the start of the 2nd half, but the 2nd goal killed the game.

Think itís too late for top 4 now, despite our relatively friendly run in. Just hope we avoid this new conference league.

Leeds fans protested every way possible to get rid of Ken Bates. Nothing worked, until everyone just went ďfuck itĒ and attendances dropped from 35k in the Championship to around 20k. Until the money slows down they wonít care, but Iím sure even if the protesters ditch their season tickets then theyíll still sell out every game. Downside to being that popular and successful I guess, makes it a lot harder to vote with your wallet.

My favourite thing is the fantasy that whoever replaces the glazers would but the club debt free and spend the additional revenue on players

lmao what are these guys smoking

Leicester and Chelsea still have to play each other and Leicester still have man utd. We have Leicester last game of the season. Unlikely but still a slim chance

I didnít realise Leicester had that tough a run in, I thought they were home and dry. Could come down to the last game then.

We do also need Liverpool and West Ham to drop points too. And win all of our games. Stranger things have happened I guess.

The Sun seriously need to be fucked. They've gone after Sterling, Greenwood and now Saka.

Why don't we see the same energy against racism as we did against ESL? I'll tell you why, because people aren't fussed about racism if it isn't directed against them.

    That needs to change.

I remember when two players; one black and one white bought a house and they went completely different tacks for both

It was the Mail, but still

He's still, somehow, getting jobs at decent sized clubs, but they're getting smaller and smaller each time now it seems.

Next job will be someone like Sampdoria. Or Arsenal.

Yeah, can't see him winning anything of note again tbh. Struggle to see him overhauling Juve and Inter unless Roma go absolutely nuts with signings, but it's hard to imagine.

Crystal Palace manager in another 10 years in a fierce battle for a mid-table finish.
