Didn’t Rafa manage a children’s team in Wirral near his house between Inter and Madrid because he loves the area and football so much

@SnackPlissken who says we're looking to move Saliba on? I think it's more likely that we'll cash in on Holding and have Saliba and White (if successful) for RCB.

Wasn't Saliba meant to be better of two from Fofana and himself? Fofana is excellent.

Maybe his mother passing away affected him a lot.

From what I can gather, the extra year really benefited Fofana and by the end, looked the more assured player. Saliba was injured a lot in that season, hence why going back out on loan last year was crucial.

    Fonseca has fallen through then.

Spurs's managerial recruitment is in danger of making Everton look competent.

What a shambles. Should have just gone straight in for Rafa at the start.

But that would have been a sensible move, which is apparently (and evidently) not the spurs dna.

    Not a single match lost.

Edit: Gattuso at Fiorentina that is

Apparently Gattuso left because Mendes (his agent) wanted to bring players to Fiorentina in a similar vein to Wolves and Fiorentina didn't want that.

If Spurs keep moving further down their list they’ll be getting to Big Sam soon.

I'm sure there's a whole host of Italian managers Paratici can work through before Grande Sam

@askew I’m now imagining Sam turning up to his interview in a Mario outfit. Hmm this guy looks familiar…..

I can imagine the digest game of the season managed by Ryan Mason because everyone else said no.

    According to the press.

Which people like to believe when it suits their narrative but otherwise state how awful it is ;)

Villa signing Ashley Young is very left field.

Some of the dross that's out there is crazy. Read one where it said 'Dean Smith is ready to sell Morgan Sanson according to Paddy Kenny'.

Spurs have taken a step closer to Big Sam by deciding against Gattuso.

I could imagine him and Levy not being particularly compatible.

I think Spurs have rightly passed on Fonseca and Gattuso. They are slim on options though. Think they should just get Howe in.

Fonseca was a strange one as it seemed like a done deal. I wonder what caused that to fall through.

Ten Hag still seems to be the favourite but I would have thought if that was possible we would have tried (and failed) to bring him in by now.

    Or maybe we have.
