The "definite pens" were both "seen 'em given" but not nailed on. The Sandro handball would have been very harsh and while Vert definitely did have a lot of whoeveritwas's shirt, that is standard defending to be quite honest. Rio certainly gets away with that every single game ever.
We rode our luck a bit but we kicked their arses all over the shop in the first half and for once Man U didn't get the luck they needed for a miracle comeback. Think we deserved the win for the first half performance on balance, not to mention being owed a fuck load of luck from over the years. -

Very true. What we need is some sort of points system and league table to get a better idea of how we're all doing.

He'll start more. I reckon he's just being protected over the last few games since the last England game.
Cleverley needs to start games. He's a much better midfielder than Giggs, and he isn't even drawing a pension yet.
We need to wean ourselves our geriatrics pretty fast now though. -

Agreed. And we should look at it after 38 games have been completed rather than 6.

OK everyone, stop talking about football now. TH says we have to wait until the end of the season. -

What makes you ask that? Arsenal have started the season really well.

Oh dear god! I had no idea things were THAT bad. -

Ah, so that's why we didn't hear a peep out of you for 99% of last season then. Makes sense.

Saturday's win has moved us above Villa for the first time in the all-time PL table. We're now 5th.
Liverpool next. Just 200 or so points to make up. -

24% - Sunderland have the best chance conversion rate in the Premier League, but the worst shooting accuracy (33%). Quirk.
Um, I can't get my head round that. -

Must not be counting all shots as chances. You'd have to wonder what definition they do have for a chance then though. -

All-time Premier League table my arse. The all-time top division table is the only one to look at. You're 7th on that btw

Actually the current PL table is the only one that really counts, but I'll understand why you'd prefer the one you're referring to. -

Oh, fuck me ragged. If they're that desperate, I'll dig my old boots out and give them a couple of games. At 40 I'll class as a promising youngster.

Fletcher has also scored all of their goals so far. Bit early to start saying they're a one-man team, but if he's injured soon it could be interesting to see what happens to them.

So, after wiping away the tears I realised that silvestre and his deflated balloon head coming back makes sense given the utd policy of beating defenders senseless in training every week. Better to have silvestre at the back than carrick.
But then, the realisation that getting that chump back again would improve our defensive options made me weep again. -

Anyone think Rio was a bit lacking at the weekend. His lack of pace was quite something and perhaps not as sharp with reading the game now either. I don't think Silvestre is any better though. Good to see Fletcher back, he might offer some protection while they struggle through it. Teams should go for it more than usual, could be some tasty high score games.
This is how desperate we are. -
The problem with rio is that he's not old enough. That and having a spine constructed off tissue paper, Elastoplast and the abstract concept of hope.
