Did anyone bring up the argument for de gea being reinstated? Can't help but feel he'd have saved at least one of those goals. |

Registered 13 years agoMaybe he would, but in my view the defense is to blame for all the goals, not the keeper. -

Registered 13 years agoIt was terrible man-marking at set-pieces.. The keeper can go out and get some crosses but not all. Evans let his man go more than once. -

Registered 10 years agoTo be fair, Evans has improved since his loans with us, where he was brilliant...but he still doesn't seem a Utd level player to me.
And Evra is shot. -

Registered 13 years agoAgree he's a lot better than he was - I don't get nervous every time he's on the ball now =P -

Registered 5 years agoEvra, Vidic & Ferdinand were formidable a few years back, but they are getting on now and no one really seems to really boss the defence any more. Theres no rock solid partnership to build on.
Bring back Brown & Barthez! -

Registered 11 years agoEvans is so badly underrated by so many. He's a fantastic player imo. He's a brilliant footballer to boot, think he gets blamed for far too much.

edit; if I thought he was being serious I'm pretty sure I'd have come out with something better than 'lolwut'.

Registered 11 years agoMeh I'm not saying he's the league's best (I, personally think he's up there but understand others don't see it the same) but he is really very good. He's definitely underrated by most and could play for any of the top 3 teams easily.
Edit I'll add an imo there.

Registered 10 years agoCatching up on last night's MOTD.
Swansea were immense, they bossed the match, had the lion's share of the possession (not easy to do away), and had loads more chances. Systematically took Arsenal apart.
West Ham really should have lost, but a wasteful Chelsea performance saw WH tale their chances, great subs by Sam. (Shit, I've actually thought something positive about Big Sam...that's a first).
So happy that Spurs won, that first goal completely changed the game, and Defoe is on rampant form. AVB made a great point about Bale, yes he's getting a reputation, but in the past players have made bad/tough challenges on him (with intent too; I'm mainly thinking of that mad cunt Adam. Will never forgive him for those two terrible challenges he's made on Bale - both times taking him out of action).
I can't blame a player for going down easy when you have glass ankles, better to get a card then fuck your ankle again (I realise this goes completely against my moans about Bale in previous weeks, but AVB's point has really stuck in my mind).
Edit- ADAM, not Adams

Registered 10 years agoAlso, as a few of you were saying midweek, Liverpool are playing some really nice football at the moment.
They're quietly going about their business and creeping back up the table. I really don't like them, or Suarez, but Rodgers has them playing like a team again*
(*though I won't forget that goal Suarez scored a few weeks back and nobody celebrated with him) -

Registered 15 years agoI only just found out that Suarez tried scoring a goal yesterday with his arm. Class act. -
comfortably beaten by a team playing open, fluent, passing attacking football who were in the championship 2 years ago
what happened to arsenal being the signature super passing dudes? it's kinda just atrophied to "sorta technical idk"
