The Master system was always an underrated system in my view. It had some cracking games. My fondest memories are probably getting Prince of Persia for Christmas, and being blown away by it. What are your favorite games on it? |

That and playing Janken in Alex Kidd. -

The former, in particular, having a great BGM.
I would like to see HD availability, for Wonder Boy (compilation?
). It's huge fun to play, and really enjoyable. -

Never liked the ms Sonic games that came after Sonic 1. Sonic 2 was cheap, and the others felt rushed. -

Yeah they were shit. Felt like some Honk Kong pirate version. -
Psycho Fox was the first game I ever played on a console. Played it again a while ago and, somehow, still managed to have the maps stored somewhere in my brain! Had no idea that it was highly thought of though!
Apart from that: Wonder Boy III the dragon's trap was just fantastic. The scope and variety of the world just completely blew me away, is right up there with the Zelda games imo. -

It seems increasingly clear that men, geeks and gamers like lists. -

Registered 11 years agoI loved Sonic 2 for my Master System. At least it was written for the system, unlike Sonic 1, which was a port of the Mega Drive game. Never played Sonic Chaos, though.
Anyway, Prince of Persia was an incredible conversion, as was R-Type (especially when all I had to compare it to was the Spectrum version). -

Sonic 1 on the ms wasnt merely a port of the Mega Drive version, in fact, it was massively different. -

Me too. I was in Australia. However, one boring weekend my brother and I rented a Master System from Blockbusters! -

There was no rock, paper, scissors in Alex Kidd, you must be mistaken. It did have Janken in it, though.

Some of my fondest memories as a kid were on the master system. Getting The Terminator for Christmas from my folks. Even though it was a terrible game I didn't realise coz I was just a kid! Nor did I care. It had the terminator in it!!
Shinobi was my face game on it though.
I was a true sega boy back in the day.
