Traditional one for me. Last year cooked a ham, but its just dosent feel like crimbo. So its turkey covered with bacon rashers stuffed with home made pork/cranberry/chestnut stuffing and serving sprouts cooked in butter with panchetta and shallots, honey glazed parsnips, roast potatoes cooked in goose fat, yorkies, bread sauce, cranberry sauce, and gravy. Mmmmmmmm.

@ op - tastesike chicken. Personally i would just get a small organic corn fed chicken.

Having lasagna and prime rib for our Christmas. We'll also have all kinds of other Italian meats and breads and pastas, etc.

Can't wait!!! I frankly couldn't care what kind of fat is used. I'll pour it directly into my throat if I can.

You need goose fat for the roasts, nothing else!

Bah - everybody's so health aware these days. My grandparents lived into their 90s and couldn't give a crap about what they ate.

I don't even want to live that long, so I'm going to shovel as much goose fat down my gullet as I want!

One day, like every other food that's ever been, maybe they'll find something good about goose fat and I'll be way ahead of the game.

It works well poured over the turkey while it's cooking and drips onto the potatoes below.

No no - goosefat for your yorkies is good too. That or beef dripping.

Goosefat also contains a complex amino-acid which is known to improve synapse bonding, so CoD players really should be cooking in goosefat at least once every week, to improve their already-amazing reaction speed.

Because of course the diet available to people then (and especially the first half of those 90 years) who didn't care what they ate was oh so similar to today - hydrogenated fats and mars bars and takeaway pizzas and processed meats etc....
