Anyone ever bought an expensive item of clothing online?

I want to get a leather jacket, but none of the shops around here sell anything decent. I like the look of the Wraith over on Soulrevolver.co.uk, but it's a fuckload of money to spend without trying a few different sizes first!

Any good shops that sell 'em, highstreet chains or independent? Can easily get into London (or less exciting, Reading) to have a look around, there must be some good places there.

Nice one mate, been looking for a leather jacket. I'm going for a quasi-cowboy look this year, sans weird tie thing.

I find superdry more for skinny jeans wearing metrosexuals, but those jackets are nice yeah so I gues it doesn't matter.

Spending a lot on a leather jacket (or any coat for that matter) is all relative. A good jacket/coat will last you many years. I have 3 jackets that cost a lot of money (a Paul Smith jacket, a Tommy Hilfiger tailored coat and the most costly, a Stone Island coat which was about £500). I've had them all for a good few years and each one looks as good as it did when I bought it. They haven't aged and have kept their shape really well. Think of it as an investment. You won't have to replace the coat for many many years.

Maybe I should get it along with a plain white t-shirt and some stone-washed jeans.

I have a superdry coat and it's anything but. Completely non waterproof. One shower and I could feel the water running down my back. Looks like a raincoat, feels like a raincoat. Neat trick.

If it's any help, the measurements for Soul Revolver jackets tend to be very accurate so providing you measure yourself properly I doubt you'd have much trouble just going by their size guide.

My other half bought me that Superdry Brad jacket last Christmas. Nice looking thing, but terribly made. First one went back after the stitching came away at the shoulder, and the lass told me they're notorious for being quite poorly made for an 'expensive' leather jacket. Replacement was in the same size, but completely different fit, almost like a size or two bigger. Go figure.

Still, when you zip it all the way up, you look like Pinhead.

    Or The Punisher.

    Or Mad Max.

    Or something as equally cool.
