Anyone who was excited about the 3DS starting to fill dissapointed?

    I'm getting worried.

Two euroganer previews and both say the 3D is more of a gimmick than a game changer.

This is a shame, I hope this trend doesn't continue.

Nearly forty years of 3D and counting, and people are still surprised when it turns out to be a gimmick?

Yes you are correct. I was so confused until you cleared everything up with such clarity ;) Thank god.

Essentially, you are kidding yourself unless you think 3D has a massive chance of being a short-lived gimmick designed to legitimise selling people more new technology unnecessarily.

Haha. It could be worse, I could be daft enough to spend £2k on a TV and then be shocked at the fact that 3D is nothing but a gimmick. At least at £220 I won't feel too stung by this realisation!

I'm not disappointed so I've ordered my 3D fun machine from Amazon.

In terms of the systems capabilities? Not really, I've never expected the 3D to be anything more than a gimmick and will likely play with it off most of the time anyway.

But I am disappointed the price ended up being so high (and to think Americans are complaining about it being £150). The games themselves have had quite a price bump and the launch line up is rather bleak. I was excited after the "30 games by June" video but it turns out most of those are still early in development.

Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, Zelda, MGS3, Starfox.. There's not really any big games coming and the ones we do know of, don't have dates.
