Iím really digging their stainless steel Odysseus even though itís larger diameter than Iíd normally go for. Probably the only other one Iíd have of theirs now, the rest of the line up is too spenny

In watch related news, Hodinkee have come out with an eight-day travel clock. So far so good. Except it's $5,900...

    https://shop.hodinkee.com/collections/limited/products/hodinkee-eight-day-clock-limited-edition?variant=31724511854667

They have had to suspend comments on their instagram post as people were just laying into it :D

The facebook comments are pretty funny. They're taking a lot of shit over it

That's a stonking Lange, my closest is a Dornbluth 04.0 and whilst it doesn't get much wrist time, I love it.

The collections looking great smoothpete, but it never really ends. I haven't bought one for a good few years (fitbit not included) but still keep my eyes open. The problem is, as you collect (and flip) more invariably you end up eyeing up increasingly expensive pieces making it a lot harder to keep going.

Still you can have fun at the more lower end of the price range, I'm quite taken by this

We'll see. I'm done with big spends, I've got the ones I wanted now. Agree re: lower end of the price range. I got one of these fairly recently which I absolutely love

I keep umming over a Mr Jones watch. I like the skully ones but they might be a bit too Swatchy.

Don't think I can justify getting a Breguet but a JLC Reverso is definitely on the cards. As it was in December when I had the funds. Just ended up spending it elsewhere and I suspect that's what's going to happen again.

One watch I really covet is a proper Louis Cartier Tank, absolutely love the design. Trouble is I already have a Tank Solo so canít really justify it

Always fancied a Reverso, but there is so much choice, and inadvertently I always seem to want the pricier models (even if they appear to be relatively basic).

I love the Tribute, but then for the same money (and I would have to sell a few of the current collection to get one) I could buy several synthesizers, or a Moog One and I know which would get more use!

Cartier make some really amazing stuff. I know I just said no more watches but inevitably I'll get a Tank of some kind. The Solo XL seems nice but a bit plain, then above that you're back in fairly significant expenditure.

I love their more wacky designs, like this Rotonde https://i.redd.it/wlfrypk0j4051.jpg

edit - it's showing 9:10am in case that wasn't apparent

Santos is one I keep circling around on as well. I also like a lot of the Hermes watches, which seem to get overlooked. The Cape Cod is pretty nice

I thought it was Hermes that made the set of erotic mermaid related watches but upon searching (on my work laptop for "watch sexy mermaids") it was Ulysse Nardin. They are preeeetty fucking nice and I would happily own the full set.

I bought a $80 homage AP Offshore (you know the one, ugly as fuck with rubber strap) to see if the real thing would suit, and I'm blown away with the quality. It's a quartz (of course) but the case, strap, lugs etc are amazing at this price. You can tell the difference with the pushers but still for the money they are good.

I might just keep this and not buy an expensive watch I can't afford

Is there one where the shark actually nobs one of the mermaids?

Not my cup of erotica. I'm not sure in what context I could/would ever wear a mermaid porn watch.

I'd have the one with the great white if it was actually either a) biting the sexy nymph lady on the head or b) gently nobbing her, like a considerate ichthyal lover.
