Matrix 4 & 5 in 3D! WTF? Page 2

If Hugo Weaving isn't in these films there really is no point.
  • Deleted user 24 January 2011 10:20:57
    There's really no point anyway.

I'm really getting sick of sequels and reboots now.

Go for it I say. First is excellet, second is quite good, third is a bit meh. But all have some great action scenes, and are nowhere near as bad as people make out really. As monkey says, look at Transformers 2 in comparison.

I'd be up for seeing some more ass kicking, although I doubt these films wil ever get made.
  • Deleted user 24 January 2011 10:34:08
Nah, I'd go with Johnny Depp directed by Tim Burton.

Leave number 2 alone. Any film where someone pretty much cuts an SUV in half with a samurai sword is alright in my book. I fucking hate SUV's.

They really need to up the ante when it comes to transsexual imagery in these films. Everyone should be in bondage gear, with leather masks, and women with penises should be fucking men with vaginas.

    Lana Wachowski FTW!

I'm not opposed to another Matrix film -- I just don't think the Wachowskis should direct it. They haven't done anything decent since the original (and a producer role in the mediocre V for Vendetta doesn't count).

Let someone else have a go. They couldn't do any worse than the 2nd and 3rd movies.
  • Deleted user 24 January 2011 11:14:19
Is it possible that Keanu will be playing a different version of 'The One'? As in, a different version of the matrix to the one that the main films are set in? I can't really remember the finer details of the ludicrous story, but doesn't the matrix run in cycles?
  • Deleted user 24 January 2011 11:17:28
Yeah it used to run in cylces. The version we saw was the 6th cycle.

    However Neo broke the cycle.
  • Deleted user 24 January 2011 11:18:48
So if they did go down that road it would be a prequel I guess. Meh to that.
  • Deleted user 24 January 2011 11:20:21
At the end of Revolutions the oracle did suggest we would see Neo again.

It may not have to be a prequel, it is a ludicrous story so it shouldn't be too hard to find a way back from death.

See my post on the last page. They could easily bludgeon a new story out of it.

Infact, a prequel would be harder to do unless it was set in one of the previous zion destruction cycles, but that would be shite.

You could follow Morpheus' removal from the Matrix to 'present', which would be pretty cool. It could include his own journey to the harvesting fields he mentions and his struggle to come to terms etc. etc. Hell, you even get another training montage out of that storyline. Follow that up to him finding Neo and you're done.

Except Prequels are a shite idea all around, as there is no tension in them at all seeing as you already know which characters live/die.

But that would suck as Fishburne cant act for toffee.

Yer you're right. Best leave it to the class-A acting talent that is Keanu Reeves.
  • Deleted user 24 January 2011 11:48:04
We could do Agent Smith's story.... O_o

I have no idea how that would work, but weaving can act.

Glad you agree he's a top actor!

Larry's a fairly decent actor when given good material.

The only good bit about the 3rd movie is that bit where Keanu Reeves gets blinded.

But to get to that point we had to endure that guy doing a terrible agent smith impression.
I started watching it, realised it was shit and fastforwarded... saw the incident of awesome and rewound a smidge to watch it on loop for about 20 mins. Then I turned it off.

Fishburne is also carrying a bit more timber than the last time he put his leather trousers on.

Nick's right. Forget prequels, just go with the ending to the third one. The uneasy truce ends, wars kicks off, job done. Dunno how Neo gets back, maybe he never really died and was being kept alive by the machines. Maybe he'll be a program and not real.

I would love to see a Plinkett review of Reloaded, just to hear him go to town when Morpheus gets his man cans out in the cave rave.

Get Fishburnes daughter to play him, in some bizarre sex change prequel. Lana can draw from her experiences.

If they cut about about 2hrs from the sequels they would be better.
