I very rarely talk politics but this guy was interesting. I would vote for him as, well worth a watch.

I particularly liked opening up the chance to lead a party, maybe an uncorrupt person could have a chance of being PM

    Apologies if posted previously.

Look forward to both parties of government pretending that they're interested in the boundary review being "fair" and "democratic" while advocating for structural advantages to their side and telling everyone else that electoral reform and something closer to be representative and "fair" is impossible

Cmon you know Higgy's MO by now, say a three word sentence preferably with a person's surname followed by a slang word based insult from the Momentum forum, offer no reference or link. Profit.

    8.5/10.

Ive deducted points for the second sentence and the freestyling nature.

Announcing plans for a less racist immigration system sounds like a good idea.

Abbott is still one of their most underrated and it's good to have her back.

Hopefully they're leaving behind the 'migrant workers damage British employees conditions' stuff they gave us around Brexit

If Tom Watson can cure his diabetes, then what's holding Dianne Abbot from doing the same?

    A: The cake trolley.

What will you be like if Corbyn makes it to PM, leaving in his wake the bodies of Tom Watson, Tony Blair and Chuka Ummuna?

I am sorry H1ggy, you seem like a decent enough guy, but i can't (just can't) get on board with Corbyn or McDonnell as anything more than fantasists who have no understanding of what their hair brained schemes will cost or how much it will hurt everyone involved by trying to implement them.
I feel they are important members of a labour team, to ensure they don't stray too far to the right, but as the central focus they are dragging the entire party down. The problem is we are quickly coming to a position where we have our two parties fielding un-electable leaders and unfortunately for Labour (and the UK), the cons will always win that fight.

I want a strong Labour and a strong opposition. I don't think (as someone who is pretty central (if slightly right) Corbyn is that person and the current Labour party are not in that position.

As much as Higgy and Goat get on my tits with the whole Corbyn/Labour left thing, they are right about one thing - Labour have tried and failed to get elected on centre (perhaps centre-left) politics for 2 successive elections. It's no wonder the wider party want a change.

That's true but the only Labour governments that have been elected in the last forty years were centerist.

That tells you something about what Britain wants from a government.

But in recent years the voting populace have become more polarised in their views, there's not much of a centre ground left to appeal to, sadly.
