| Just for the record, I'm calling this RIGHT NOW as an April Fool with an unusually-long lead-in. Particularly given that they are yet to announce a release date, and April 1 is on a Friday. |

"Select the mood of your party: Enchanting, Persuasive, Naughty, Adventurous and Brainy."
They all sound a little bit scary...
"And a satisfying finish
The final peak of the game ends in a light hearted, match-making session. Which of your friends is your best match for Love or Friendship? How you play, how you answer questions, how well you perform, and finally, how you chose to create your avatar, will ultimately determine your perfect match. "
Did they really just put "and a satisfying finish" into the PR for this game? -

It would be an interesting defence in court :-/

Registered 15 years agoI don't think brainy would be too suitable because the people who get this clearly don't know what they're doing already.
I really hope this is a joke. This will just fan the flames of the game critics... -

I don't think it can be more damaging than Battle Raper. -

Well, nearly all of Britain have no idea what that is (though they would if they saw the name) -

That article is full of amusing middle-class outrage, can't wait for the Mail to pick up the story. -

The Mail should probably avoid pouring too much scorn on it... given their readership is smack bang in the middle of swinger central.

Registered 16 years agoAaaah, lovely. I'm as happy as a pig in shit.
Keith Vaz splashing around like a beached whale pretending he has the vaguest clue of what he's talking about; the tabloids sexing it up and frothing at the mouth demanding that they Ban This Sick Filth (tm) while whipping people in to an outrage about somethingthat otherwise they would never even care about; the videogame industry being represented as the bogeyman and being forced to defend things which are quite frankly slightly retarded and stupid; everybody gets lots of nice free publicity, Ublisoft sells, Vaz gets column inches and the Mail manages to stave off doing actual real journalism again for a little while yet again. All are present and correct and it's playing out beautifully. Lets do it again some time. Your place or mine?
Though I suppose this games does, now that I can be arsed thinking about it like a grown-up, bring up some interesting points. The rating system for games is based on the actual content of the game. This game does not have, apparently, much in terms of actual erotic content "on screen." But it *does* directly encourage sexualised behaviour (a striptease). However, the actual characters in the games don't do any vaguely erotic, so it gets a 12+.
Aaah, I love the sight of a moral outrage. Popcorn? Why, thankyou.
edit: I really should read prior to submit -

Registered 14 years agoI sometimes wonder if parents see the 18 logo and think this relates to the number of years the game will 'babysit' their offspring so they don't have to bother. -
It's not getting a UK release.
"Following the public reaction to the 12+ rating of We Dare, Ubisoft has made the decision not to sell the game in the United Kingdom," Ubisoft told The Daily Telegraph.
