No, Sansa is great. More than anyone (at least, more than any other Stark) she understands the world as it really is, not as how she wants it to be.

And in a world like the one in this show, where well-meaning but naive people get corrupted (see: Arya, who's a bit of a psychopath now, also Dany) or killed (see: just about every other member of the Stark family), that is a real strength. She earned this wisdom the hard way, but it's wisdom nonetheless.
Unfortunately Sophie Turner doesn't have the ability to create any of the pathos required to bring this to the character.

Which makes her being cast as Jean Grey all the more incredible, but there you go.

As an aside, I think the only one of the young cast who will do anything worthwhile in the future is Arya.

She's not that attractive, so she's not allowed to have a meaningful career in acting.

Well yeah, I guess that's the ideal of the character, minus (or plus) whatever the actor brings to the role. It's a shame, because certain characters (looking at you, Jon Snow) I would find so much more compelling if the actors didn't have the charisma of a plank of wood.

No you wouldnt. One of the sub-morals of the show is that women are given nothing and if they want it, they have to take it by force.
OK, if I were Jon would say "you're next in line if I die", then happily lead myself and all of my men off a very tall cliff because it seemed like a bright idea at the time.

Nah, that's far too sensible for Jon, he'd almost certainly not name any sort of successor, then happily lead himself and all his men off a tall cliff because it seemed like a bright idea at the time.

Weirdly, a slightly grey Newman turned up, all serious like, in Narcos last night.

Or I could read the books, as I should have done before watching, yep still pissed about that. As the book is always better.

    Not in this case imo.

They are better, especially the first 3. 4 and 5 are not very good but neither is the season based on them.

On the other hand, they're never going to be finished anyway.

It's funny how GRR Martin does any job going to avoid finishing game of thrones.

Whilst the show can be a bit too truncated and a bit too contrived, the books went the other direction where things just meander along, and could actually do with a few contrivances to get things moving.

    ...are book mentioned allowed now?

I think there's still things that have happened in the books that haven't happened in the show yet. Someone told me about someone dying who is still alive in the book.

There are whole subplots in the books excised from the show. It does make me think the subplots will be essentially pointless.

It's possible that things that happen in the books might yet be written into the series at a later point.

But really the main reason is that book discussions are really irritating for people who aren't reading them, and that's why there's another thread for it.

Yup. Some characters alive in the show are dead in the books and vice versa. Very much on a different tangent.

It's also not entirely unrealistic to think that there will be people in here who watched the show but have not read the books and want to, and don't want all the little (and big) differences spoilt.
