Oh for fucks sakes, could we not start talking about that again? It's one of those issues where it's like people are talking completely different languages, and it's been done to death already.

Not been this disappointed about the passage of time on a TV show since realising 24 was not the full 24 hours.

That's how forums work, somebody says something and then the other person says something else, then the first person says "yeah but-" and repeats what they said, but with more capital letters and insults.

Do you think there is any chance of Stannis coming back? I know he's supposed to be dead, but we didn't actually see it happen. Maybe Brienne of Fucking Tarth's supposed honour meant she couldn't execute an unarmed, defeated man.

He could still be the prince that was promised.

I know that my bedroom isn't exactly an ancient writing, but I have a tournament flag of House Baratheon of Dragonstone hanging above my bed.... next to a big poster of Optimus Prime, who was also thought to be gone forever before coming back to save the day... literally episodes before the programme went off the air (outside of Japan).

No wonder every woman on the planet wants to fuck you Rod, you lay out enough merch to dampen even the most dry fanny.

    That's the one.

I just really like Stannis. Will be reading the books once the show is over in the hope that he has a better outcome.

Even after all the spectacle of this last season, him taking a step towards the Bolton army, and unsheathing his sword in spite of the obvious defeat, is the single coolest thing I've seen on Game of Thrones.

Actually, i would kinda love it if the iron throne was simply the head of a giant transformer.

The last epsiode could be an 80 minute fight between a dragon and a giant robot with everyone getting killed in the crossfire.

Hmm. The glowy sphere in the intro does kind of look like the matrix.

Rod reminded me, I couldn't sit next to my other half on the plane out, they had to sit next to a lady who was travelling with her son and kept showing (unsolicited) pictures of the replica GoT swords they had at home, mounted on the wall going up the stairs.

The son (grown up physically at least) is definitely going to murder someone (maybe Mother) with one of them. I fortunately got a seat next to someone who correctly did not try to communicate on any level for the entire flight

I know, which is why it's best to not even start. It's one of those discussions that people get really angry about for some reason.

Like (and this is all I'm going to say about it), logistics and things like that used to be a thing that mattered on this show - except for ravens that are magically reliable for some reason. Now, people zip around and are exactly where they need to be at exactly the right time, with no real sense of distance.

Maybe that shift was necessary, maybe it wasn't, some people are fine with that development, others are less so, the end. There's no new ground to travel here.

And the realise the irony of me continuing a discussion that I'm completely over having, but I'm hoping to cut off the swears before they begin.

A popular opinion which also absolves the show from having any kind of coherence. No need for any kind of plausibility or logic because it has "fucking dragons"

It's funny how often that take pops up, given how dumb it is.

It's well known that the presence of things not in our reality also mean all other concerns are automatically irrelevant as well.

That would be a bold development that I would applaud.

Just remembering Starscreams coronation. They could recreate it in GoT.

I would actually love it if the show just committed to dark, brutal realism, right at the very end.

"Dany was a tyrannical ruler, and nobody fucked with her because she had a dragon, the end"

I mean let's face it, Jon would be a shit ruler.
