I think there's something dodgy about him. Wouldn't surprise me if he turned out to be a spy for the Lannisters. |

Registered 15 years agoI like him, definitely more than that mega douche Daario.
I guess his eventual happy ending will be when he's made Hand of the King (Queen)... If that even happens! -
Ser Jorah is the best character in the whole "across the narrow sea" storyline.
I'm not really that interested in Dany but I think it's because of superman syndrome. With all her dragons, unsullied, and Dothraki blood riders she is never in any real danger. So the diversions to her unstoppable conquest detract from the pit of vipers that is King's landing where every character is a ladies reproductive organ hair's away from being ganked. -

Registered 15 years agoYou would like to think that there is more to his character than following her around like a little bitch. -
@twelveways Ser Jorah was originally meant to kill her in series 1 but after she made Drago free the slaves after a raid he decided to become her ally. -

Registered 9 years agoShe is a bit of a wooden actress which doesnt help. Her characters story is actually pretty good but she isnt a great actress so it makes it harder to empathise with her. The problem is she is such a key character its not easy to replace her with someone else. The budget for s4 probably eclipses s1 when they werent sure it would be anyone but the book readers following it. And they very possible blew all their budget for s1 getting sean bean in to die. -
I thought he was there because he was banished by Ned, come across Dany's cunt brother after being invited to the wedding due to his ability to speak Dothraki and pledged his fidelity to the Targaryen's?

Varrys mentions it at a closed council meeting when Robert first hears she is pregnant with Drago's child.
They talk of sending an assassin and Robert states that if Ser Jorah does it himself(Edit: It is Ser Jorah who sends a message to the King) he can have a royal pardon for his crimes. Ned becomes enraged and they have an argument where Eddard convinces Robert to wait till the child is born before taking any action. Eddard hated Ser Jorah because he had committed the crime of selling guilty men as slaves rather than making them face the King's justice i.e execution.

Can remember the exact scene now you mention that. Used to love the scenes with Ned on the council, he was so far our of his comfort zone. -

Registered 14 years agoI think the whole story would be better without the dragon fondling stuff.
There is more than enough going on socially, politically and boobily on Westeros to have a deep and rich storyline without it.
It's a tacked on aside- with lame "foreign" accents and predictable Arab-ness- that is (for TV) and was (for the books) totally unnecessary. -

Nice, I was hoping they were official but sadly are custom and super expensive. Very cool though. -

Knowing the books i'd say.....nothing.
Not knowing the books, I'd say that would be end of season 5 at the earliest. -

I hope the show continues to add a bit of humour. For me the comedy bits of S4 ep1 elevated it to one of my favourite episodes. Some of the earlier shows have been a little too serious.

Possibly spoiler? Well, considering that part hasn't even been written in the books yet it's quite likely Martin will die before it happens. I like GoT, but it is genuinely one of the most drawn-out stories in the existence of humanity.

Registered 14 years agoTelling someone something will not happen is just as much a spoiler as telling them it will
You've pretty much told everyone who doesn't read the books what Dany will be up to for the next 3 series, delete your posts

"I hope Robb gets vengeance on the Lannisters"
"That doesn't happen, teeheehee"
"What! you've just spoiled the TV series for me now"
"I didn't spoil anything, I didn't say what actually happens to him"
"Something happens to him?! There you go again!"
"teeheehee"
