I'd thought I'd try and re-direct conversation away from the EG forums.

So, does anyone know a decent forum where you [u]can[/u] talk about "special" PS2s.

**sighs** and wait for inevitable play on the word special, and of course the inevitable forum gestapo thread lock.

By "special" you mean "chipped" then yes your threads will get locked, and we're likely to ban you if continue on created threads on it.

There is a legit question buried away here though. When does a console become old enough for it to be ok to discuss chipping it here? I can't imagine I'd get banned for discussing (say) buying a chipped Megadrive, or would I? The PS2 is pretty old hat now.

On a slightly different note , in past ive looked on the web and seen people selling development ps2 consoles, are they good alternative console? , if you want play other region games on ps2 there is another way but i wont post it, think im not allowed to.
If you want play burnt games that you dont own, then i wont support that.

Because you don't need to chip a Mega Drive, there were convertor cartridges. Besides, if you chipped it, Japanese cartridges wouldn't fit in the hole, silly!
