| @dominalien tbh it just felt like they ran out of money. It was barely better than the Mass Effect "the same thing happens but the explosion is blue" ending. And the twist afterwards was dull and unimaginative, though like nick says it was nice that they acknowledged the way you played the game. |

At the risk of starting another Half Life Boat Experience.... arent there some areas that you cant progress past unless you block nozzles and whatnot with gloo? And theres a tutorial that explicitly tells you to do that, I think.
OMFG. I am such a noob.
Last night I realised (quite a few hours in) I can block flames and electricity with the gloo gun.
/facepalm.
All those areas I could have explored and will now likely have to go back and check for loot...
I suppose you could yolo though them, maybe? -

You glooed your way up to the escape pod platform ?
I used the glue gun to end the game about 1/3 into it.

I've always managed to find a hatch, or smashed a window to get round them so far. I have only doen a few bits of the main quest and one or two sides though. The save file says I am 7 hrs or so in, so not all that far and certainly I have always managed to get the card etc that I need. If there was a tutorial, i certainly missed it!

I was chuffed I managed to use a dart to open a door through a window yesterday, then i had my facepalm gloo moment to bring me back to earth with a bump. -

I completely didn't realise you could use the gloo gun to build ladders to make higher platforms accessible... even though I watched an NPC do it moments before. Sigh.
I thought there was one point where you actually had to do it. I won't say where though. -

Registered 8 years agoYeah same. I love how open the game is. You can gloo your way to pretty much anywhere.
Hmmm. I bought Mooncrash and never played it. This is getting me in the mood.

Registered 13 years agoMan, this has it's mimic-y hooks in me.
Spent about 5 hrs on it last night and it went in a flash.
Had to re-do a few things due to dying horribly after stupidly forgetting to save for a while.
I may have progressed the main story a bit further than i wanted to. I now have nightmares chasing me my hiding skills will need to get better. -

Nightmares are fun aren't they!
The tried and tested "Leggit" approach may serve well here.
Whereabouts are you now then? -

Registered 13 years agoHiding is my main tactic, followed by cowering until the timer runs out.
The first time I met one was in the lobby of the arboretum/crew quarters bit. I tried to scan and fight it a few times- it attacked me as soon as i went in to the new living area with telepath victims/phantoms chasing me. Not fun.
Now turreted up in cargo B about to go out and meet some chums.
Then I am going to sack off main campaign portion and tool about on side quests. Also, I need to kill that tricksy chef. :-D
