OH NOES! You guys think so too? I haven't played mine since the likes of Donkey Kong Country Returns and Super Mario Galaxy 2, both of which are brilliant games! |
The Wii is "history" says EA.

The Wii was history when it was brand new. :-D -
I already made that crack! -
I hope I'm not the only one (probably am!) but there is something very comforting about opening up EG and seeing a Wii troll thread and ecosse as the last poster. Being serious here. I don't know if it is because I've gotten a bit bored of EG lately or what. -

A lesson in how to take the most loyal and long serving video games fans around and completely piss them off to the point where they hate you and everything you stand for. -

I wasn't trolling...
Just reminding everyone that the blooming thing still exists!

Registered 16 years agoI'm loving my Wii just now, plenty of life in the old gal yet, and certainly not a legacy console for Nintendo.
However, is it dead to EA, and most other third-parties? I'd say so, or at least close. Sega did give it a decent go by publishing HOTD Overkill, Madworld and The Conduit, and there are a few other successes, but I can't think of anything by EA so I can see why they regard it as dead. -

Registered 18 years agoConsidering that the 3DS is (allegedly) more powerful than the Wii, the tech does seem rather hilariously outdated for a home console. I wouldn't be surprised if they unveiled its successor at E3 and readied its launch for next year. -
I thought they said it was now a "legacy" system?
But yeah, Nintendo needs some new home hardware like a crackwhore needs crack. -

Why not? They unveiled the Wii only a few months after the DS was released. Besides, the actual release probably won't be until next year anyway. -

One of the best games on the Wii, Boom Blox! -
The Nintendo way is to slowly drip-feed information. Perhaps holding up a console and proclaiming it to be the best Blue Ocean shit since DS/Wii.
To which the assembled crowd will collectively gasp/sigh...
Without going all slickloose on this thread, Wii has had some quality niche gaming on it but has been marred by the appalling 3rd party shite, the likes of which hadn't been seen since PSX/One and interactive pets on PC. DS likewise. -
