Registered 18 years agoThere's not much they can do if it's in the post, though. This was always going to be a problem with online stores being forced to wait until the last minute to post out the game. And Simply supported it, so... -

Registered 19 years agoI didn't order this game, or reserve a copy in store. Something I'm beginning to regret as there appears to be a bit of a national shortage. I had a quick browse around on my way home and found that Curries had one copy left, only there were two gangs of scallies fighting over it.

I left it. The only problem was I was taking back £60s worth of Bongo gear to GAME and was hoping to exchange it for GTA:SA, but they wouldn't even let me pay in advance for it. Shocking. So I got Riddick and Fable instead, and I'll swap the worst of the two for GTA:SA tomorrow if I get there in time.

When I went into Tesco on Friday night they had a 'temporarily unavailable' sticker where the GTA boxes should've been. While I was looking around, a bloke turned up with a cardboard box and proceeded to unload what looked like about 50 copies onto the shelves. On Saturday morning when I called in to grab some milk, the 'temporarily unavailable' sticker was back. If Tesco can shift that many copies, how many are the bloody dedicated games shops shifting? o_O -

Mine didn't come till Saturday but by then it was too late as i'd already gone out and got it.
Not Simply Games fault though as Decoded said. Just hope the same doesn't happen with Halo 2!!! -

Went into Gamestation around 12'ish and on one till they had sold £2000 worth of copies! Still had loads on the shelf as well. -
Apparently Dixons got it right and have shit-loads of stock, according to my colleague.... -

Registered 18 years agoJust called GAME in Witney Oxfordshire, they have just got a shit load in today, and so have my copy waitring for me on the way home tonight.
I am gutted though, because from what I had heard about Simply I was thinking about a long relationship with them. But I can't risk not getting the game within 3 days of release. I have just ordered Halo 2 from somewhere else as well, as I don't want to be in the same position come next week!!!

I had assumed that GAME would sell Halo 2 for £35, and I was just going to pay the extra £2 and get it from my local GAME (which is just around the corner from work), but when I asked there they said it was going to cost £40, which is a bit steep in my opinion, so I've ordered it from Simply.

Do you think its worht pre-ordering one (normal edition halo 2) from game as well as the pre order (LE Halo2) from simply games?
Or should I phone up simply games and ask for their postage policy on halo 2?

Yeah monkey, the 10 day thing applies to online orders too.
It's a good backup plan but i think Simply will pull through (fingers crossed). Depends more on how good your post is in your area more then anything.
But if i was you then i'd give Simply a call. Mainly because i would like to know but can't be ar$ed to call them

Well I called them and got a rather weird reply...something along the line of its delivered to the post codes we recieved the order from first then she said its normally released when the release date has been given.
I dont really think she knew what I was talking about to be honest, sounded nice though
I think someone else might have to give them a call to get a more cohereient answer. Im scared of calling up again and talking to the same person :S
