    @simpleexplodingmaybe

    Agree about Futurama.

Barring the movies which were pretty poor it hit the ground running when it came back and maintained a high quality with the odd stinker here and there (similarly to the original run). Can't say that about any other show off the top of my head.

Season two of Fargo was the best one. When life gives you Plemons, you better be damned grateful for the Plemons!

Aye, really enjoyed that one. Patrick Wilson was great.

Yeah series 2 is the best. Ted Danson, Patrick Wilson, Jesse Lemon and Kirsten Dunst. Plus the rest of the cast. Zahn McClarnon as Hanzee steals the show.

Plus the thing that happens at the shootout is just brilliant. You either get it and what it means or you don't.

    I met Ted Danson once.

    I asked him "You Danson?"
He replied "Depends on the song."

Yeah was probably being a bit harsh. I thought it was decent. Much preferred first season though.

The first does have BBT in top form but the 2nd edges it for me.

Kirsten Dunst surprised me with how good she was too.

I think the retro setting of S2 really suits the style and pacing of the show

    'Spiral'

    All 8 seasons.

Never a slog, loved it. Lock down lunch time viewing, perfect (not when tucking into a juicy steak and cut to an autopsy... Literally).

And the French judicial system is odd and fascinating at the same time.

    'Fargo'

    Seasons 1, 2, 3.

Brilliant, 2 is the best, as others have said.

Violent as fuck, and the end of season 3?!

Don't quite remember how 3 ended. I just remember thinking Ewan McGregor was miscast. Not hugely but enough. Thewliss was brilliant, though.

I don't think I've met someone that's watched and liked Big Bang Theory. Same with Mrs Brown's Boys.

Yep, mum was awesome and great in Watchmen too.

    @Rum_Monkey I'll do it!

    I liked it.

Although technically you've never actually met me (unless that's you outside staring into my lounge now) so it still doesn't change much.

Him and Her (all of it, IPlayer)
Probably third watch and still find it great, although it really has some hateful characters!

I genuinely believe Stephen Graham is Britainís greatest living actor.

    Yasuke (on Netflix)

A newish anime very (very very) loosely based on a real person, an African man who served under a Japanese warlord.

It's a bit of a weird show, because it takes this historical stuff and then adds robots and magic and such. Which I'm not exactly opposed to! But it does make it really funny when people are all "b-b-but you have black skin, HOW CAN THIS BE?", when literally two scenes ago they were shooting lasers at a mech. Tbh I wish they'd kept the sci-fi out of it, it doesn't really add much.

Anyway, the animation is great, the action scenes are great. It's still very much worth a watch!

    8/10

Watched this last week and, although it wasn't the most uplifting thing I've ever watched, it was absolutely excellent.

It's only a 3 episode mini series and I'd thoroughly recommend everyone give it a watch.

Also, Sean Bean and Stephen Graham.

    The Haunting of Hill House

Brilliant. The first 6/7 episodes are some of the best tv I watched. Probably does struggle to carry the rest over the line but still entertaining enough. So maybe could be an episode or two shorter. Series has everything really, scary, good family drama (I did not cry a few times), good characters, really well pieced together and well directed. Good stuff

    4.5/5

    Snowfall s4

It's found its rhythm now and delivered its best season. There's some questionable character turns that make it a bit too convienient like Skully not killing anyone in the hospital despite being a pyscho but it's very watchable with good performances.

Good to hear. I started ep1 and seem to have forgotten about it. A combination of being knackered, playing some vidya games and watching the euros hasn't helped.

On the plus, side, if it's done on BBC now, I can effectively binge it all!

A good friend of mine had his honeymoon in LA and he actually went and saw a live recording of Big Bang Theory. Turns out he's always liked the show, I lost a bit of respect for him when he told me.
