The Americans - 8/10 Kinda obvious that I enjoyed this. ![]() Liking all the cast, and it's decent fluff so here's hoping for a few series. |

A easy show to watch with a few laughs here and there which was heading for a 7/10. Then the paintball episode happened which was pure brilliance as were the final two.
Looking forward to the 2nd season. -

"I'm sorry Jack". You sad, pathetic fool! You have no idea how sorry you're going to be.
Just finished watching 24 series 8 again. Outstanding. Can't wait to see what they do with the new series.

Absolutely loving this show, comedies with a cast list as stupidly great as this one are few and far between.
For me it's still a close call between Andy and Ron Swanson as to who's the most consistently amusing character...
The BBQ lover in me says it has to be Ron though.
The only slightly weak link in the cast is Aubrey Plaza, there's just something 'off' about her performance.
Ohh and Kudos to Rob Lowe too, between this, Californication and that recent Liberace flick I feel he's due a huge career revival.
Just finishing off the last season now. -

This amazing series loses its way in the final season. It's still a great watch, but the ending is a bit flat and it lost what made the previous seasons so good.

A fun watch although I'm glad the girlfriend has her memory back. It picked up at the end. I'm looking forward to season 3.

Registered 13 years agoLots of impressions in the thread for it. A summary would be expected it to be crap and it turned out to rather enjoyable
Da Vinci's Demons - 7/10 - Pretty enjoyable and a good cast. It's really an alternate world Da Vinci where he is a swashbuckling womanising drug addict genius. It's by David Goyer who apparently had something to do with the Batman films. It also has boobs in it. It's certainly worth a watch though it gets a lot of hate on IMDB for not being historically accurate. If you are not a moron though and understand it's not even remotely going for historical accuracy it's enjoyable fluff.

Registered 13 years agoFor anyone who's seen all of Fringe. Does the story ever drop the 'freak of the week' formula? I'm enjoying it, wifey is getting a bit bored of it, we're about 4 episodes into season 2.
I think she'd rather it just focused more on one big story, which I can see it kind of does it's just revealing aspects of the bigger picture very slowly. -

9/10
Was this even shown here when it was originally made? Anyway it's a great high school drama/comedy that gave many of today's comedy stars their big break. Well worth checking out if you have Netflix.
Can't believe it only got eighteen episodes.

I meant the US remake. I'm sure that Netflix commissioned two at once to sweeten the deal.

After watching series 1, 2 & 3 in a binge last year I got a got a bit fed up after one episode after the other for about a week and then didn't bother watching series 4.
First day off sick for about 2 years this week and decided to lay in bed and watch series 4. Alwats loved Cranston in everything he's been in from Seinfeld to Malcolm but in this he is just unbelievable. I've actually started rooting for him to be taken down as the character has changed over the seasons. The cliffhanger at the end of series 4 just sets it up nicely for the final season. Can't wait. -
Jericho - Season 1
I enjoyed watching this again. It's silly, but entertaining silly.
7/10
