    @GarlVinland

Stick with it, at first I didn't like them as sidekicks but can't say too much without giving it away spoilers

Yes. It's the best thing you could watch is Toast of London. Matt Berry's delivery is top notch.

Yep, it's totally bonkers and hilarious. The buried alive episode is a particular favourite of mine.

Somehow the beeping makes it even funnier for me.

    Don't Watch This

A short horror anthology that's appeared on Netflix. Absolute dog shit. All five episodes total about 15 minutes and that time would have been better spent refreshing iPlayer whilst I waited for Doctor Who to appear.

    Don't Watch This /10

    Hilda

I can't remember if I posted about this or not but the artwork and world are both gorgeous and very much let down but strangely timid and polite execution and voice acting.

More than a few moments of snapping into awareness and having to rewind what I missed toward the end.

Sad I want to love this and did to begin with.

    7/10

    Big Mouth

Series 1 & 2 down, and fucking amazing.

Genuine laugh out loud, struggling to breathe hilarity. Started great, and just got better as it went on. Was very surprised at how it managed to stay fairly sweet and "nice" while also plumbing some quite dark areas and loads of full frontal cartoon nudity of 12 year olds. We do live in more permissive times obviously.

    10/10

Just started Sabrina which is better than I was expecting.

Honestly don't get the big deal with Big Mouth - the hormone monster(s) are great but half the supporting cast are just incredibly annoying and tiresome.

Maybe I should stick with it - only watched half of S1 before giving up.

Shame it got cancelled as it was a excellent series (but the ratings dropped)
Also shame the series never got a bigger following as I think more people would like the show. It deserved one more season to finish it off
Just bought the lot on iTunes for 14.99. Was this even on the uk? Had to find alternate sources for season 1 which was awesome.

    That was directed at AddyJB.

Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy series 1

Essentially the Mighty Boosh without any narrative or the charm that came from the interaction between Moon and Noir.

Some lovely sketches here and there but with nothing holding it together it rarely feels like more than just ideas thrown at the wall.

    6/10

    Disenchantment

Grew on me. At first I was lukewarm towards it, but either it improves dramatically during the season, or I just got attached to the setting & characters... either way, Matt Groenig deserves credit, because this show, while it does overindulge in coy 4th wall breaking and smug asides, can be clever, charming and surprising... like Futurama at its best. Except maybe not that good. I dunno. The novelty hasn't worn off for me yet so it's too early to say.

    8 or 9/10

It doesn't deserve it's on thread but I don't know where else to put it.

    Futureman.

I forgot I recorded all these on sky to watch. Started ep1 last night and it's just shit. It actually made me feel embarrassed that I play video games while it was on with its fucking cringe worthy tired jokes about gamers/gaming. They're knowledgeable about the subject but don't even try any better

He's playing a FPS with a joystick FFS. Just for a dick joke?!
Then they're talking about taking Luigi's full hairy dick or being blown by ms PAC man. Then wanking in his gaming chair to a poster or character from the game....

Glad my partner wasn't watching at the same time.

    Homecoming

Disappointed with this after the glowing reviews its been getting. It's got a lot going for it - nicely directed, great score and a very good performance from Julia Roberts (although I found her odd face quite distracting) - but the actual story itself is completely lacking.

You kind of know what it's about by the end of the first episode but then it keeps throwing BIG MYSTERIOUS MUSIC and weird scenes at you to make you think there's something else going on and you're waiting for a big reveal. But then it just turns out to be what you thought it was about.

    NO SCORE

Halfway through Killing Eve. It's very good. Can't believe the main girl is a Scouser IRL.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (season 13)

More of the same really and as uneven as ever but with some great episodes and moments. It would be a 7/10, and then that happened. So now I guess it's an 8/10 but the last episode is possibly the best in the show's history and certainly some of the best TV I've seen this year.

Legion S1 - 9/10 - Rather good. Really enjoyed it and it's the best Marvel based TV thing I have seen though it's also nothing like any of the others. It's not very comic book at all in feel.

Intriguing... I'm now strongly trying to resist the urge to google it. I too was just waiting for the whole season to hit Netflix.
