I'm watching Dexter too. Up to the 3rd series and it's excellent so far

Not sure how they can keep the intrigue going though

@retro74 Series 4 is the best for me.

Iíll probably end up watching them all. I remember reading that the series with John Lithgow was the high point - I assume thatís series 4?

God damn does it travel downhill without brakes when he stopped shagging his sister.

Also, I need someone to help me campaign for Dexter's theme tune music composer to be sued for ripping off Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased)

Killing Eve. 6/10. Started strongly and I liked the style and the light touch. But it shat the bed in the last few episodes. Disappointing.

Dexter holds the coveted accolade of worst-ending-evahh! for me, pipping even Sons of Anarchy for the title. An achievement in itself.

Haven't made it to the end of either. Binned off Dexter halfway through S5 (the end of S4 proved too traumatic) and At the end of S5 of Sons - but that's mostly laziness and forgetting that I haven't finished it.

Yeah we're watching that at the moment. Loved it so far but I can feel it starting to get kind of stupid. Think we have 3 episodes left.

I made it almost to the end of Dexter, but realised at some point that I didn't really give a shit about any of the characters. Sons of Anarchy was pretty terrible in places, but I cared enough to finish it.

I still think Dexter is one of my favourite TV shows of all time. Yeah the ending was bad, but Doakes man....

Sure, but Doakes was only in the first couple of seasons?

The thing that really annoyed me about Dexter is all those plush, luxurious houses and not one had a burglar alarm.

@Mola_Ram Yeah. Then you've got Lundy, Travis, Miguel Prado, Arthur Mitchell etc etc. There's some great characters throughout the show.
I think it's just a case of being far too cynical about everything. There's like a handful of TV shows that are great from beginning to end. Even The Wire suffered on the last season. Dexter was an easy watch, and I really enjoyed it, just yeah went a bit shitty at the end.

@Jono62 He mostly planned out his targets though, which is pretty much crucial to the show, aside from a few stories where he didn't follow the code etc. Plus working for the police gave him an advantage.

Friends from College - Season 2

A vast improvement on the first season with each character given more opportunities to shine and a decent blend of laughs and tears.

I seem to be going through a phase of shows about privileged New Yorkers, and this one also has it's fair share of entitled dickwads. Greg Savage's character is particularly loathsome.

None of them seem to have what you would call a conventional job, yet swan around swanky bars and live in over-sized apartments with great views. Are these shows supposed to be aspirational or simply shining a light on a sub-culture that we should pity because of their vacuous lives? Anyhow I digress...

    8/10

My wife is watching that. Every second I've caught made me loathe the characters. See also Big Little Lies or whatever it's called. Awful people for the most part

The later episodes have the doubleact with the daughter but general the main plot does crumble a bit.

F is for Family. 6/10. Some decent laughs but not a patch on the first two. Still some great characters though.

The Good Place S3 - 6/10. Again, fell short of S2 in particular. Flashes of brilliance with some really dull episodes. Running out of steam a little.

Aye, Season 4 is the best then it goes steadily downhill and the ending is terrible.

    I mean, post season 4.

    Gomorrah Seasons 2 & 3- 9/10

Just superb. The politics, the violence, the egos.... really enjoyed both series and can't wait for S4. My favourite episode was Ciro in Bulgaria but there was always something going on and loads to enjoy here. Bleak as fuck but working wonders for my street Italian.

Can be bought and streamed via xbox. Psn will probably have it too.

There is a 3 series blu ray which is good value too.
