    Eureka Season 1. 7/10

It was pretty good, but started getting darker and less fun as it went on.

Eureka Season 2. Didn't finish it

Couple of episodes in and it was clear it had changed in tone and the humour was a lot more infrequent and the program was a lot less fun. We packed it in after I read that the third season was even worse.

Shadow Hunters: First episode was great, really enjoyed it. But, we got 4 episodes into it before it descended into YA nonsense and we binned the thing.
Dead to Me: Sounded like it was a paranormal series, but it was just really dreary and depressing. I didn't get past the pilot episode. It reviewed badly.

Currently watching "The Order" which so far hasn't descended into YA Hell and is so far enjoyable.

    Chernobyl 10/10.

One of the best series Iíve ever seen. Appears of itís time and great production, acting, script. Utterly compelling. I also loved that it told its story in 5 hour long episodes and kept everything moving; no bloat and filler. Unmissable.

    Years & Years

A BBC Black Mirror from Russell T Davis that essentially asks the question 'what if all the bad stuff off the news gets worse?' then follows one family as they try to deal with it.

It's very on the nose and very well made.

Plus it's got Emma Thompson as a nightmarish Katie Hopkins/Nigel Farage character who is all too plausible

It's probably scarier than your average Black Mirror too given how current its current events are.

    9/10

I had watched 2 episodes of the virtues and was enjoying it but not blown away
I'm guessing episode 3 pulls everything together.

    ^ These, basically.
My only gripe, and its fucking tiny, is that I would have liked Russian accents to set the scene a bit more.

I really liked it. I don't think it's perfect, I didn't find the last episode as good as the preceding ones. But overall it was excellent TV.

Do you have a link to these podcasts? Sounds like the perfect background noise for my Friday in the office.

@simpleexplodingmaybe watched the other 2 and it improved things a lot. It's a bleak watch but worth it, I didn't love it in the same way as I do this is England bit it's still good stuff. Stephen Graham is brilliant in it as expected and the rest of the cast do really well too.

Finished Deutschland 86 the other day. Thoroughly enjoyed it, bit different to 83 though. Almost the West German counterpart (more cosmopolitan, stylish, slightly lighter tone) to the more drab, gritty (East German/Soviet) Deutschland 83... Can tell it had a higher budget.

    8/10

Line of Duty Seasons 1 to 3

    10/10

Sirloin steak, medium rare NO SAUCE.

Aside from Hastings meal itís probably the best British procedural iíve seen. My mate compared it to the Shield but itís a whole different ball game really. Top performances, each episode ends with a gut punch that just makes you want to blast onto the next.

Strike Back: Retribution and Silent War

When Retribution was first shown on sky, I couldn't get into as it had new cast but gave it another go as have now tv (for GOT) and have some time left before the month is up

Really enjoyed both seasons, once you get into it 2 of the main cast from previous seasons turn up at the end of Retribution

    Chernobyl

Grim, tragic and utterly compelling. Probably one of the best new TV shows in a while.

@Frogofdoom I can't imagine anyone doing angry, hurt, and scared all at once like Stephen Graham does in this. He absolutely makes it.

    Killing Eve Season 2

    Man Like Mobeen Series 1 & 2

Very good BBC 3 comedy from Guz Khan about a reformed drug dealer trying to take care of his little sister. Great mix of topical social stuff (Tommy Robinson, knife crime) with daft nonsense (Mark Silcox).

The girl playing the sister kills it every episode too.

    9/10
