We shall see Dougs, so many episodes almost force you to watch the next one that there is rarely a good place to leave it. -

I don't know if you've watched The Raid (if you like cool fight scenes, you should), but the bodyguard of the lady triad boss is the police sargeant from The Raid.
Warrior is so fucking trashy. It's fantastic. You're never more than 3 minutes away from a cool fight scene or a naked Chinese person. -

Registered 18 years agoReally enjoying second season of Happy.
Purely because Christopher Meloni is the ultimate hardboiled antihero.
It can get a bit self indulgent with the trippy scenes (though the Wishy, latex bug orgy was nightmarish) and it's hard to give a fuck about anyone other than Sax it is great fun and a better season than the first. -

Does it still have Patrick Fischler in it? I can't remember what happened to his character in the first season.

I watched the first episode of this series and its not for me. Just a few too many times my wife and I were looking at each other and saying "wtf?". Might get better later, but the first one killed it for us, which is a shame as I hoped it would be something good.
What we do in the shadows
Loved the film, the series is even better.
Fuck me, that was good.
It has phone jacker and the boss from I.T crowd, the whole cast is perfect.

Registered 15 years agoI can see why you wouldn't like it if you're a sensitive little flower because there's sex, violence and a whole lot of effing and jeffing in there.
Being completely desensitised, I didn't really even think about it until it was pointed out to me but Laszlo is about as foul mouthed as a comedy character gets. -

FWIW, I think we just found it a bit puerile. The energy vampire made us laugh and a few other bits, but not the greater part.
I’ve no problems with swearing but sadly just didn’t find the episode all that funny. -

Registered 7 years agoMatt Berry was excellent as expected but I really enjoyed Kayvan Novak, every time he spoke it cracked me up. To be honest all five of the main characters were brilliantly played and I couldn't imagine actors that would have played the roles better. From Laszlo's BAAAT schtick to Colins face when draining energy to Nadia's constant WTF faces to the camera and so on, it was glorious. -

Objectively, the greatest time travel epic in TV or films. Even if you just have a passing interest in the genre - watch it. It's not really one to binge, Dark is way too brilliant and complex for that kind of disposable viewing.
If the final season next year sticks the landing, then it'll go down as one of the best TV shows ever made.
Last thing, watch it with subs or don't watch it at all. The dub is horrible.
Peak telly then. Such a shame nobody seems to be watching it. -
I am, it is great, somewhere around five eps in to the second series. -

Registered 14 years agoWatched Handmaids Tale season 1. Did not really like it. Found it pretty boring, and the whole story pretty stupid.
Started True Detective now, having never watched it. I always heard it was meant to be one of the best things ever. Seems pretty slow first 2 episodes in. -

The payoff is worth it. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey are both immense. The rural backwater setting is bleak but in a beautiful way and the show just reels you in.

Seeing it mentioned again I could happily watch all over again and be drawn back in which I think is the mark of a great show. -

Excellent stuff! I almost missed out on this because I was lazy and listened to the English dub - which was awful. In the original German it's much better and a fascinating story that's incredibly well told. Straight onto series 2!

I'm pleased to see the love for Dark (although it deserves even more!). I am now halfway through the second series (had to watch some recap videos on YouTube to get up to speed again) and it really is one of my favourite series from the past few years, possibly ever to be honest.
I speak German so watch it in the original without subs, but I did switch on the dub out of interest once and it was truly dreadful. That said, I'll never watch something dubbed as a general rule.
I'd love for it to get the BluRay release treatment; it's definitely one I'd purchase if it had decent special features (like the GoT BluRays).
