    Endeavour: series 7:
10/10 outstanding and the best overall (albeit only 3 episodes) series for a few years.

    Corbra:
Political thriller about the PM and Government dealing with a major catastrophe. Begbie (English but still swearing) and some GoT actors and others you have seen in other dramas.
Started really well, dragged in the middle before getting better again.
    6/10

I'm assuming Corbra is the alternative-future version where Jeremy Corbyn is Prime Minister.

Was a fan of Morse and Lewis but have never tried Endeavour, how are the rest of the series?

    Torchwood series 1

What if John Barrowman had sex with all the monsters not good enough to make it as Tennant era monsters of the week?

Of all the ‘British X-Files’ this looks the most like it was made for CBBC.

    6.5/10
As someone on this esteemed website once quipped, "The aptly named Torchwood makes me want to light my dick on fire before I would ever watching it again"
I remembered it being a lot better based on the ‘event’ series. I’m not going to continue.

I (well we, me and wifeybird) love it. The first series Starts in the 1960's and at the end of the current series we have got the 1970's.

Both Endeavour and Thursday (his boss, Peter Mannion no less ;) ) are excellent as are the rest of the cast. Totally recommended it.
I think they are all up in itv player thing.

Duff seal of approval Oh Yeah.

    The Boys - 10/10

Absolutley brilliant series. Great concept, superb casting and just all around amazeballs!

Trailer for series 2 looks insane. Cannot wait.

Happy and The Haunting of Hill House have been highly recommended to me. I'll give Happy a go next.

I think anything now after The Boys is going to look pretty tame by comparison.

Boys was alright. Pretty funny in places. A few of the episodes dragged on a bit.

Definitely up for more though. I love Karl Urban in pretty much anything, he's always great.

Except for his accent is so distractingly shit in this.

    The Good Place season 4

Dragged a bit in places but a fitting finale for the show as a whole, I even had something in my eye at the end.

The first two seasons were the best, genuine laugh out loud moments and constantly surprised with it’s ingenuity.

Seasons 3 and 4 weren’t as good in comparison but overall a show that will live long in memory with some philosophical insight.

    8/10

    Snowfall S1 -

Not nearly as good as I expected. Kind of 'standard' in most respects. Only got halfway through before I quit. Characters are mostly clichés, dialogue is just functional, plot is interesting but failed to hook me.

    Does it get better?

I'm halfway through s2, it's more of the same I guess. I quite enjoy it though. The 40 min eps make it easily digestible at one episode per night after the missus and our lad have gone to bed.

It's a 6-7/10 show I guess and certainly plays on various clichés, it's nowhere near as good as Gomorrah for a crime/drug empire show IMO, but I will keep on going and see where it goes.

    My Hero Academia S01

I'd booked tickets for the film, thought I better get the gist of what its about.

It's really good! My kids have started calling me a weeb, but they don't seem to recognise what the "fan service" is that its well known for.

Started S02 but that seems to have a cheaper/more childish style.

Top Boy S1. 7.5/10. Some of the acting is a big dodge but I liked this. Albeit a bit bleak.

Disagree, it's the worst in my opinion, I really didn't get on with whole Ludo plot.

No fucking way. I didn’t think an American would have even heard of this show. It is gold.

I can’t see it working but it’ll never be as terrible as the US Peep Show pilot

    X-Files S2.

Much stronger than S1. More Mitch Pileggi is good. The three-parter around Duane Barry was awesome, as was the finale.

I Am Not Okay With This on Netflix

    Girl does not fit in.

It's not even trying to disguise it being a rip-off of Carrie. Not even sure it's a spoiler as it's right there at the very start. Fairly entertaining, shallow, by the numbers show. The main message it's trying to convey as far as I can tell is "geeky guys are fun". Which incidentally is ok with me as I'm one of those. Very short, can be seen in an afternoon, but I don't think it's worth it. All the perfect American teeth are jarring.

    5/10

@dominalien the trailer did look exactly like a modern YA spin on Carrie. It’s a pity if they haven’t done anything interesting with it.

That is a shame, I am a short geek as well. And I had this afternoon free.

I am not ok with this - 8/10

Decent take on the angsty teen with superpowers. Episodes are about 20 minutes each. Only issue I have is it was too short and needed more episodes.

    On Netflix.

@simpleexplodingmaybe Well, that's just my opinion. My gf liked it, fwiw. Also, Jono thinks different too, though "decent" and "8/10" don't really compute in my head.

It’s shocking that either of those is an issue for a Netflix original
