Very good but not as good as first season. Looks lovely and fight scenes are epic. -

I've watched a lot of murders over the past few days and to be fair they have done a reasonable job of keeping them different. I still miss Gideon as the lead, but the team overall provide some interesting dynamics, although they're not always followed through.
Let's see what season 5 has to offer.

Registered 18 years agoEnjoyed the first two Vagrant Queens on SyFy. Not familiar with the comic, but this is good fun, not gonna win any awards but thankfully doesn't take itself at all seriously. A welcome relief in these trying times. Think cheap knockoff Guardians of the Galaxy and you are in the right headspace
Lol, gets 3.5 on IMDB, some people have stone hearts. Funny how the episodes get 6 and 7 yet its rated 3.5. I smell the sweaty stench of adolescent keyboard warriors (he says typing furiously)

The 90s cartoon.
Lots of brief introductions to lots of elements of the X-Universe so the storytelling is a bit thin but it’s remarkably faithful and lore rich. It’s pretty heavy for a kids show too, the body count is high, there’s slavery and racism.
A true classic.

Overall an 8/10. Some great characters and especially good around the middle. Some annoying characters.
The ending is absolute bobbins though. How Hank finds out is boring, and about as stupid as one of Walt's stories about where he was or what happened. Fell asleep during the last two episodes. -

Registered 9 years agoI'll admit the BB ending could have been better but the way the reveal at the end of the first half of S5 comes is just SO breaking bad - understated, comes out of nowhere. Same as the reveal at the end of series 4.
Plus the final episodes - boring? Nope -

Registered 12 years agoLost in space, season 2. 7.9/10. Love the look of the series along with the characters and the setting The story and dialog were a bit weak this time around. Hopefully they pull out all the stops for the third and final season next year. -

Yep. I rewatched The Wire a couple of months ago and I think season 1 is the most perfect season of TV ever made.

The TV series was fascinating. I was expecting Murder on the Orient Express and got a cozy horror story.

Yeah, this is my 2nd time through it. It is wonderful. Halfway through S3 already. Both Rob Lowe and Adam Scott elevate it.

Registered 9 years agoYeah P&R took a season to find its footing but it's still one of the best sitcoms around for my money. It kind of lost me in season 5 though. The time skip didn't do anything for me. -

Just got up to date with it. I really enjoyed it. Definitely the best series so far. A few 'woah!' moments in it too. End of ep9 was the biggest.
Snowfall s3
Much better....
Then they try and ruin it with one of the shittest finales I've seen. Who's idea was that to kill all the momentum they built? Rescued itself in the last 5 mins of the ep.
Would have been a 9 if not for the last ep so 8/10
You're right about the last ep, it did kill momentum, but I didn't mind it so much. The last 5-10min was indeed better- it's made me keener to see where the next series goes. -

What's impressive about the writing is the characters are so well developed early on. Leslie is absolutely nailed from Ep1. Others grow of course but the characters are all there from early on. Really hard to do

Registered 14 years agoIn BB I didn't feel like the last episode tied up much for long term characters. It was all these bloody Neo Nazis who had been in the show for maybe a season.
I guess I just didn't think any of the Hank stuff played out as well as I'd hoped. Hated Jessie in the last season too. Was still a pretty good season though I guess. -

I just thought Hank and Walt both came across as really dumb in the last season. Which maybe was the point, and their downfall. -

Loved it. Didn't know what it was all the way through, didn't expect anything. Loved it from the first episode to the last.
Deliciously strange and evolved over the series to some great TV.
Looking forward to the next series. Which I shall no doubt start this week, in between Mandalorian, Tales From the Loop and Friday Night Dinner. -

It's their single mindedness and tunnel vision of what they want that leads to their downfall.

Exactly. I loved how Hank found out. No flashy reveal. Just sitting on the bog looking for something to read.
