That's a shame. Comparing the viewing figures for both seasons and s2's just drops off a cliff compared to s1. We'll probably still give it a go if/when it comes on a streaming service.
I think they're different stories, so you don't lose anything by not seeing more than the first season.

    Fargo (S1)

I didn't get on with this when I tried watching this before, but for whatever reason it connected this time and it's a fantastic show. The hitman is by far the star of the show, but also acts as a catalyst for change in those around him. The story certainly has an odd aspect to it which I found quite compelling. It loses a bit of steam towards the end, but overall I enjoyed it a lot.

@TechnoHippy Season 2 was my favourite for Fargo. Three didnít hold my attention enough.

    The Other One

New BBC sitcom from Holly Walsh about mismatched half sisters.

If you liked Motherland the humour is similar although it has some sweet moments of more touching emotions too.

Fargo 1 is amazing, especially as Freeman's accent improves but Billy Bob owns the show. Series 2 is good but also has that "wtf?" Moment. The really mental one. So that takes the edge off for me.

I liked 3 and it was creepy Thewliss who held it together but it wasn't up to the other two.

S2 manages to make Kirsten dunst a good actress so that wins, but they're all great in their own way. I'm interested to see if Chris Rock can pull it off for s4.

I'm enjoying the second season. It is, for the most part lower key than the first, and doesn't rely so much on a single character.

Bloody love Fargo. Season 1 for me is the best but the other two are still a lot of good fun. Good to hear there will be a fourth season.

    Glow S2

Good. Takes a little while to get going but itís just good fun. I donít really like wrestling but it makes me understands why people do.

    The Bureau S01
French series about their CIA (I guess?). Tons of good stuff for those that like secret identities, double agents, secret operations and all that stuff. No big action set pieces in S01 at least. More of a down to earth kind of vibe.

I really enjoyed it and will continue with the next season.

@Tonka That one keeps tempting me, might have to take the plunge once I've finished Fargo.

@TechnoHippy if you have any interest in slow spy thrillers, then I'm sure you'll enjoy The Agency.

It was a bonus for me that it was French as well. Nice to hear a different language and different viewpoints.

I do quite like a solid intelligence thriller and I don't mind subtitles if it's interesting enough.

    Fargo (S2)

Well that was rather strange and quite splendid. It didn't have a stand out character like the hitman in the first series, but felt more even all round. Everything fit together well, and built across the arc well. Although it kind of stalled right at the end, in a similar fashion to the first. There seem to be some meta connections that I'm hoping I'll learn more of in the next season.

I think I was one of 10 people who watched all of Vagrant Queen on SyFy. Never took itself seriously, had some decent episodes mixed in with some typically SyFy stuff. Just the type of escapism I needed in these shitstorm times, a B&Q Firefly.

Will miss the gang, doubt it will get another season, these are the same idiots that canned the Expanse after all.

    Fargo (S3)

It's a lot lower key than the previous two seasons. The connections are a bit messy, but it does portray some interesting journies for most involved. There's a nice moment later on where it gets weird and I hoped there'd be more of that, but unfortunately not. Overall not too bad, but a distinct dip compared to what came before.

I loved the first 2 seasons but got bored of this one about 3 episodes in.

My main criticism of Normal People would be that for a show so celebrated as a realistic portrayal of young love it was so downbeat.

Apart from when they were doing it they never seemed to actually enjoy anything or have a laugh.

I really loved Normal People. It was a bit frustrating at times but possibly my show of the year so far overall.

Can't understand either a 2/10 rating or that someone would sit through every episode of a 2/10 show. Even in lockdown.

This. If you can stomach watching it for that long then surely it can't be that bad?

    Gangs of London

Silly, over the top ultra violence, with enough story to maintain momentum. It does feel a bit disjointed, almost lurching from one violent scene to another. Some bits don't add up, but it's still a fun watch. The ending was ok and at least provides a reasonable conclusion, and leaves things open for more.

Gangs of London has ruined a lot of action scenes in other shows for me now. They just look shit compared to GoL.

I thought the ending of Gangs of London was really, really strange. It felt like they went "oh fuck" when they suddenly realised they might have to do more of it, and quickly made up some bullshit to prolong the story.

Not that I'm opposed to more, because I mostly liked the first season! It was just a weird ending.

I think that's where my feeling of it being rushed came from, as it flipped focus in the last couple of episodes, although there were earlier hints of what was going on.

    Penny Dreadful S1 - 8/10

A few years old now, but I've only just discovered it. Gothic victorian horror pastiche where dracula is also the mummy, Frankenstein's monster is also the phantom of the opera, oh and there are cowboys, werewolves, demonic possession, Timothy Dalton, Eva Green hamming it up, and Billie Piper as a hooker (again). What's not to love? Just watched the first episode of season two and it's even more delightfully over the top. One for fans of American Horror Story.
