So happy to see them churning out great episodes - although even the weaker episodes are better than most things available on TV/Interweb. Are they still expected to create a new show every week - or was that relaxed? Seems weird that such successful creators would ever have been put under that kind of pressure. |

Registered 14 years ago@sid92 got to love the Christmas critters. One of the most recent episodes I enjoyed was the cat piss one although that was probably a few seasons ago now pretty much anything with randy is golden.
The show must be 20 years old this year or next quite impressive it's aged well too although it has never been very aesthetically pleasing but that's part of the appeal. -

It's interesting as that's exactly how an old friend of mine feels (SP came out when we were 12/13; we've watched it pretty much our entire lives!).
But I disagree. I think SP has always had an erratic streak: there are truly fantastic episodes in each season interspersed with below average/poor offerings, and ones which are very hit-and-miss. I also feel that their satire, and how they realize it within the narrative, has definitely matured as the show has progressed - that doesn't mean it's always successful, of course; many times it's not.
Just some personal examples plucked from last couple of years, which I at least really enjoyed - would be good to hear what others thinks:
Season 12 (2008): Tonsil Trouble / Canada on Strike
Season 13 (2009): The Ring / Margaritaville
Season 14 (2010): You Have 0 Friends / The Coon Triple Feature
Season 15 (2011): You're Getting Old / Ass Burgers
Season 16 (2012): A Nightmare on Facetime
Season 17 (2013): Black Friday trilogy
Season 18 (2014): Cock Magic
I do maintain that there will always be at least one moment in every episode that cracks me up -
