Hmmm. Any particular reasons? Are we talking serious design flaws, or what? I know they said they were trying to make it more accessible, but I like to hope they haven't eliminated the depth that the series is known for, just streamlined it.

Registered 16 years agoBasically they have taken things in the other games and pasted over it with some half assed broken system.
For example, you in previous games brought goods, loaded them onto your ship and then transported them to another location and sold them. Instead you fly to a station buy the goods, load them onto another ship you own, then you fly to another station and then sell them, at which point you wait twenty mins for your freighter to harmlessly bounce off of stations it can't path around until by chance it reaches its destination. None of this can be done remotely, the only order you can send to other ships you own is to follow you, you can't tell them to attack anything or patrol or dock anywhere and buy goods. You have to do it yourself and then sit around waiting for it to happen.

If you chose to start on the freemode and cut out the flakey campaign your gonna spend hours forever pinging space for junk or climbing through vents and raiding peoples lockers for shit to sell before you can own your very own cargo ship to babysit around the smaller but prettier starscape.
Star Citizen better not be this disappointing. -

Registered 15 years agoMods are starting to arrive to fix some fundamentals. I really, sincerely think the modding community knows more about fixing their game than Egosoft do going by the forums.
I'm gonna persevere mainly cos I can't be arsed downloading and installing X3TC from steam again. This time next year it might be alright. -
