Surely you should be drawing a pair of tit's. :/
Or just one tit, two is good. But one at least. Or a vagina.

Sounds like you have a load of shit installed. That's not a slow phone.
What OS is the Galaxy S running? My misses had a mint out of box one running 2.1. Painfully slow, since replaced by her. Friend had it updated and it was infinitely better. -
Does anyone here use the Spotify app? How much bandwidth would, say, 1 hour of listening use? I've got it set to low bandwidth, I have 1gb free a month on my contract. I can see me going through that easy as I have this new "H" high speed internet connection. Guy from 3 said it's better than 3G? I work at a very quiet shop one day a week, 3-6 customers all day! Nothing much else to do but browse the web (which I couldn't do before as my iPhone on o2 had terrible signal). -
If it goes at 128kbps ... I'd say about 50-60 meg? -

Registered 15 years agoI was Android curious a while back and had a dabble with a HTC. It was exciting and new till the battery ran out after 6hours. I moved back after about 2 weeks. -

Ok, that's not so bad.
Will have to sync lots of offline stuff I think. -
That's quite extreme but surely you must have been using the phone a huge amount to run it down in 6 hours? I've had my Samsung Galaxy S2 since Thursday and it's only had two charges so far, I'm currently on 44% of my battery after 45 hours of use. My usage might not be hardcore, but it's adequate I think, around an hour of chatting on the phone and plenty of surfing (most of my chat during the F1 race was using the phone). I could probably squeeze another day out of it but I guess I'll recharge tonight. -

Registered 16 years agoMy contract is up tomorrow, currently on an iPhone 3G which gets slower and slower with every iOS update, it's pretty painful now.
Considering a leap to Android as 99% of my iOS use is through my iPad anyway, my iPhone is literally just used as a phone and satnav. I could move to a 3GS but I'm worried that will be no different to my 3G when iOS 5 comes out...I just want a phone that will work nearly as well at the end of my contract as it does at the start (iPhone 4 is a little out of my price range and seems pointless given how much I use my iPad)
Bit scary though, this Android stuff. Had a browse on the Marketplace and it's like the wild west! Really tempted by a Galaxy S2, seems powerful enough now that it will still work ok in a couple of years. Would also be nice to have both operating systems as it will mean pretty much everything is available to me, the only annoying this is that I have CoPilot on my iPhone. -

Registered 16 years agoI must say I've adapted well to my S2 by now, to the point where I'm slightly annoyed that my iPad has no back button. There's a slight adjustment period though, a lot of android apps rely on the menu and back buttons and completely leave out a touch option to get to menus and backstep.
It leads to quite often very clean GUIs but leaves one confused when moving from IOs, especially since the touch buttons on the S2 are not actually visible until you use one.
I'm guessing navigation throug Google Maps is available for the UK, here in Sweden it is not sadly, which might compensate for your co-pilot use.
Another quick tip is to turn of background backup of App data, it massively spares battery life. Right now there is a bug that intermittantly turns on Wi-fi sharing processes, right now you have to kill this manually but this is supposedly adressed in a firmware update.
I quite like the ability to acess the phones contents via Wi-Fi using Kies-Air.
So I guess this turned into rambling fragments rather than a useful cohesive post, in summary I'm very happy with my S2, it's an excellent phone. It does have a few baby-problems though, but a lot of good sides too. -

OK, really really tempted by the SG2. The more Isee it in town the more I'm tempted to sell my IP4. Anyone here came from the iPhone4 and can give an honest opinion? -

Very helpful monkey!
Just phoned up O2 and although my contract ends in December I'm not eligible for an upgrade until November, wtf?!
When I was with three they were desperate for me to upgrade halfway through my contract. Bit pissed off by that as there is no way I'm paying 6 months worth of contract to stay with the same company and keep my number. :/ -
He's in the right thread at least
