Registered 16 years agoArse. I want this NOW. -
Ooh just noticed the notifications on the lock screen, this might just be enough to scratch the itch I was getting for a new OS on Android. -
AAgghhh Reader on the iPad. Want now! Use this all the time on Safari.
Got mixed up with the Reeder app. -
Wireless syncing? -
What's reader for? -

Registered 16 years agoFuck me. I didnt actually think I'd want any of it, or see how they could make it any better, but this will make the iPad like a new device again.
Video for those who missed it

Then you should be using Reader! It is in the address bar when you are in an article and it basically just cuts out all the crap and puts the article into a nice well formatted and easier to read space with no ads. Also benefits from putting the article onto one space instead of it being broken up into 5 pages (looking at you EG!).

Registered 15 years agoI like that todo thingy. It's great how you can set it to remind you by location as well as time.
Might tempt me to get an ipad to go with my iMac... -
Todo thing looks good but I paid quite a bit for Things so am determined to stick with it! -

Registered 19 years ago*Split keyboard on iPad is cool.
*Tabbed browser is iPad only. (only switched to Atomic Web and iChromy for tabs now I can switch back)
*Newsstand is a neat idea but I will never use it.
*Notification Center, they ripped off someones else's idea and will now call it their own.
*iMessage is basically WhatsApp as it works the same. (ripped off the idea, again - but now Apple invented it)
*Twitter crap means nothing to me as I dont tweet.
*PC Free, wireless syncing the iPad/iPhone syncs automatically when its plugged into a dock or power lead, well one would assume if iTunes is open on the PC that is.
*Built in dictionary for all apps which support it.
*AirPlay Mirroring for iPad 2 (only iPad 2 feature I can see) + you need Apple TV v2.
Looks like there are no iPad2 specific updates other than the one above so iPad1 users will get it all too.
My iPhone 3GS already has the new App Store well the way it shows old purchased downloads is their now. -
Anyone else find this picture quite scary. Like he's looking over his cloned army compound or his possible organ transplant volunteers. -
I wonder if iTunes Match will be as shit as 'get album artwork' is at recognising albums? -

Registered 16 years agoSeveral things here that make me very happy: the wireless syncing will work perfectly for me with my home setup, like the "quick" camara, will be interesting to see how quick it is (slowness of current camara to load is a bugbear), like the split keyboard, newstand may be something that means I can donate my ipad to my wife and get my self a shiny new ipad 2 (when I win the lottery). Very happy. Ultimately I don't care who they rip off if it makes my experience better (bastard 'ain't I).
Now off to read about Lion. -
5GB free storage doesn't include what you upload from the iLife suite, which is nice. -

Registered 13 years agoGod bless Apple. I now no longer have to help out the users at work who can't sync their calenders to their iPhones no matter how many times I show them. If it doesn't work with iCloud, then they can whine at Steve Jobs. -

Registered 16 years agoCrispy, please explain to me why Lion is good - because I can't see much. i quite like the idea of launch pad and mission control, but they hardly seem revolutionary. -
You're asking the wrong person to explain anything
